In this video, I explore the fair and try as much as I can — from the iconic Unagi Pie (a must-buy souvenir in Japan) to premium Hamana Lake eel, refreshing mandarin orange jelly drinks, matcha, sake, and more. I’ll share my honest reviews and recommendations so you know what’s worth getting.
✨ Why Hamamatsu?
Located between Tokyo and Osaka, Hamamatsu is famous for stunning nature, centuries-old crafts, and amazing food — especially Japan’s top-quality eel from Lake Hamana. It’s also where I once stayed for two weeks during my Yamaha internship, so this city has a special place in my heart.
✈️ How to Get There:
From Singapore, fly into Tokyo or Nagoya and take a Shinkansen (bullet train) directly to Hamamatsu — just 90 minutes away.

Hi Ghib,, i bought the unagi pie the original one;,, i tried it now,; its nice,,, i think i ever ate it long time ago while living in japan .. customer only allow to buy one box,, so i only bought one box,, 16$90,, happy weekend ,, 👍😅

Thank you for sharing. Seems like the fair is very successful. All items sold out… no more unagi vacuum items and mandarin juice too. Took pics but could not upload.. as of sun 24 (did I get date right)
Update:: there is 50 pie boxes replenished available tomorrow morning on 25 aug.. according to sales staff. Other vaccum packed Unagi sold out and orange juice too
