Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters are keeping an eye on Martinez. He played in six games for the first team in August, but his batting average was a disappointing .167, and he was removed from the roster on the 21st. He hit two consecutive Home Run in the game against The Giants on the 24th. He’s hoping to improve his form as the season draws to a close.
Saitama Seibu Lions’ Takuya Hiruma recorded three hit in the game against Tokyo Yakult on the 22nd. He played in 12 games in the first team this season from May to June, but did not achieve the results he wanted, and has continued to play in the farm team since then.
