Japanese League: Kyoto Sanga Defeat FC Tokyo to Regain Top Spot
Tokyo, August 24 (QNA) – Kyoto Sanga cruised to 4-0 victory over visitors FC Tokyo on Sunday in Round 27 of the Japanese Football League.
Brazilian forward Rafael Elias netted a hat-trick in the 8th, 13th, and 81st minutes, while Yoshinori Suzuki added the fourth on the stroke of halftime (45′).
With the win, Kyoto reclaimed top spot on goal difference, tied on 51 points with second-placed Kashima Antlers.
In the upcoming Round 28, Kyoto Sanga will host Fagiano Okayama, while Kashima Antlers, level at the summit, will travel to face Shimizu S-Pulse next Sunday. (QNA)
