Attack on Titan x World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025
The post announced, “TBS ‘World Athletics Tokyo’ × TV Anime ‘Attack on Titan’ collaboration video ‘Attack on the World Athletics’ is complete.” It was accompanied by a line paying homage to the anime: “When the world unites, no wall is insurmountable! Offer Your… no, Offer Your Applause!!”—a playful twist on the iconic “Offer Your Heart!” motto from the series, urging viewers to cheer for athletes with applause.
The video opens with protagonist Eren’s famous line, “I’m gonna destroy them!”, before cutting to the Survey Corps confronting Titans. Within the anime’s dark fantasy setting, scenes of athletes competing at the Tokyo championships are seamlessly integrated. The narration reiterates the theme: “When the world unites, no wall is insurmountable! Offer Your… no, Offer Your Applause!!”
The World Athletics Championships will return to Tokyo for the first time in 34 years since 1991, drawing over 2,000 athletes from around 200 countries and regions to vie for the top in their respective disciplines. For TBS, the Tokyo edition will mark its 15th broadcast of the global competition.
