  1. Fun fact, when I searched google for "Koen Station", instead it gave me "Kรถln Hbf" (the German name for Cologne Main Station) as first result lol. Anyway, love your content! ใƒ‰ใ‚คใƒ„ใ‹ใ‚‰ๅฟœๆดใ—ใฆใ„ใพใ™!

  2. Thanks for covering Yukarigaoka! I see that it evolved since I last went there (April 2025). They didn't have the facial recognition feature installed, neither the ''bill'' ticket. The ride is pretty boring in my opinion but the train is super cozy ^^

  3. It seems like a budget version of Singapore's Punggol/Sengkang LRT line.

Punggol/Sengkang LRT line is a LRT based on the Mitsubishi Crystal Mover people mover based on the same idea of an elevated "railway" doing the transport around town with a central node for intra-city travel. Intra-town bus is seen more effective and is faster.

  4. Bit of advice, might be also useful, with unique systems like this one, to give us some details about the propulsion of the train. For example, this rail line uses completely automated driving, with no train driver required, though is present. The driver does not drive the train itself, but rather is there to take over in the event of trouble, or wet conditions. The train, more properly defined as a "people mover" uses rubber tired technology, with guide wheels inside the track, and a central power rail, to provide both power and traction for the system. It operates more like an electric bus would, and is closer to a monorail, than a train.

  5. Maintaining a train line is expensive. Once these train set are no longer repairable, I think they would eventually scraped it. They already run a bus service along the same route for old or disabled people.

  6. Unrelated but I was in Nagano recently and saw the former Odakyu 10000 series HiSE that they run there as the Nombiri-go and immediately thought โ€œI wonder if Tanner has done a video on this one yet.โ€

  7. It does make sense, train stations massively increase real estate values, so train companies use their valuable real estate to make extra money. But real estate companies can just take matters into their own hands, and build the train too, if they own enough land.

  8. I'm jealous of Japanese real estate companies that actually build stuff and create housing.
Opposed to American ones that seem to just buy up existing houses and rent them out for high prices.

  9. This channel gives me inspo on where to go in Tokyo as I'm planning to go there at the end of the year.
You could probably tell (from my username) that I am an absolute Japanese trainfan.
I recognise a lot of the places that he goes to.
Genuinely amazing content, keep it up ๐Ÿ‘

(Maybe visit ้ป’็ฃฏ้ง… (Kuroiso Station) one time?)

  10. Hi tanner! I was wondering what backpack you use to carry your laptop? Im struggling to find a good one for my school

  11. hi tanner, thanks for another great video that brought me straight back to japan ๐Ÿ™‚ can i suggest you do a train video from tokyo to osaka/nagoya purely by local trains/non-shinkansen? it would make a very interesting vid! maybe when you hit 30k subscribers (which i think would be very soon). cheers!

  12. I'm pretty interested in train stuff and your videos are just something about japanese train but somehow your videos are quite fun! I guess you have a speech skill that makes people fun keep it up mate!

  13. Why donโ€™t they just rename Joshidai station to โ€œSymphony?โ€ Thatโ€™s what weโ€™d do in America.

  14. Incredible as it may seem, there are people who have engaged in the extraordinary behavior of riding this non-air-conditioned train from the first to the last train.
