How To Spend 2 PERFECT Days in HIROSHIMA | Guide

🌅 Some Hiroshima guides only stop at the memorials. We’re showing you everything else you’re missing.
From 6:30 AM at the Peace Museum (before the crowds) to a Guatemalan chef serving award-winning fusion okonomiyaki in a quiet neighborhood – this is Hiroshima beyond the guidebooks.
You’ll Experience:

Morning coffee at an unchanged 1955 café
Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki (totally different from Osaka’s version)
Miyajima’s floating torii at sunset + the 1,200-year-old eternal flame
Crispy fried momiji manju & market vendors who’ve been here for decades

🦌 Two days. Moving memorials, sacred islands, incredible food, and neighborhoods that show how this city really lives today.
Complete with costs, tram routes, and timing that actually works.

🍜 RESTAURANTS & DINING
Important Note: Most restaurants mentioned in the script (Rue Brazil, Nagata-ya, Lopez Okonomiyaki, Kakiya Oyster Restaurant, and Okkundou Mazemen) operate on a traditional walk-in basis and do not have online booking systems or English websites. This is typical for authentic local eateries in Japan – part of the charm is discovering these hidden gems in person! Simply arrive during operating hours and enjoy the authentic local dining experience. 🥢

  2. Hiroshima has so much to offer! History, the food and sights-it's a travelers dream!

  3. There are several cat cafes within a 30-minute radius of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, so if you feel like it, please visit one. Even if they call themselves cat cafes, some don't actually serve hot coffee and only have bottled tea in the refrigerator. Some websites are in English, so even if you don't speak Japanese, the cat cafe staff (who may not speak English) may be able to help you using a translation app. The cat cafe I went to a year ago cost just over 1,100 yen for 30 minutes (10% consumption tax is added).
