Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday attended the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, where she received a warm reception and a comprehensive briefing on the exhibition’s objectives, projects, and global initiatives.

Commending the Expo’s theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” Maryam described the event as a vital international platform for advancing humanity and improving public services. She lauded the innovative concepts on display, particularly those promoting modern technology, eco-friendly initiatives, and enhanced public facilities.

At the Pakistan Pavilion, the Chief Minister interacted with Pakistani expatriates and international visitors, praising the pavilion’s arrangements and highlighting the importance of showcasing Pakistan’s cultural and technological heritage on the global stage.

Maryam also announced plans to transform cities in Punjab under the “Future City” model, aimed at making urban life more sustainable, eco-friendly, and technology-driven.

During her visit, she explored the stall of Japanese company KUBOTA, known for sustainable food and agriculture solutions, and toured Expo 2025’s landmark attraction—the “Grand Ring,” the world’s largest wooden structure. Visitors, including the CM, were also captivated by the dazzling “Rainbow in the Dark Night” Water and Light Show.
