STADT GROUP has implemented a new office in Japan taking advantage of the arrival of the historical calling of a Norwegian frigate in the Bay of Tokyo as part of the UK Carrier Strike Group, with new opportunities in sight in the country.

This week The STADT GROUP  opened their office in Japan. Our new country manager there is Mr Hiroshi Aoki, who has long experience in the maritime and naval business.

During the opening, Hallvard Slettevoll , CEO of the STADT Group expressed hes believe that Japan will soon become a growth area for the STADT  Stealth Lean Propulsion® technology.

One key driver for this is the new Rail Gun weapons that is developed in Japan now, and already implemented for test ship.

Experts at the famous European military research institute ILS in France, has confirmed to STADT NAVAL during their meetings related to electrification of naval ships – that they see no game-stoppers anymore for this technology, a bit opposite to what was the statements from USA some few years ago.

STADT NAVAL also met ATLA in Tokyo, and their Director SUMOMO Sayoko who expressed her optimistic approach towards the soon implementation of their railguns.

Several Japanese companies like Daihastu and Yanmar, has already been well integrated in 16  ship electrification projects together with STADT.
