We had no idea what we were eatingโฆ and that made it even better.
Hi, weโre Sagar and Ami, currently on a 90-day challenge to figure out what we really want from life. Weโre traveling full-time, creating content, and doing everything we can to avoid going back to the 9โ5 grind. Follow us @sagarandami for more travel stories that donโt feel like travel tips.
Honestly, after one point we stopped checking for vegetarian options and just started trying ramen, one tiny shop at a time.
No Ramen Beast. No Ramen Days. Just one rule: look around the neighbourhood and cap it at 800โ900 yen a bowl. Thatโs it.
And somehow, that led us into the coziest little ramen spots, places that felt straight out of a Studio Ghibli movie.
Always packed with locals. Always that same confused look, like, โhow are these two gonna manage?โ But we did. Every single time.
And this? Might just be our favourite thing we did in Japan.
