HOW TO GET TO OTARU FROM SAPPORO

Otaru is easily accessible from Sapporo. The most convenient way is by train on the JR Hakodate Main Line, which runs frequently from Sapporo Station to Otaru Station in about 30–35 minutes by rapid service. The route is especially scenic, with coastal views as the train approaches Otaru. Alternatively, travelers can drive from Sapporo, which takes around 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic.
