Starting from August 29, 2025, a train covered in a Street Fighter design will run on the Manyo Mahoroba Line in Japan. This is a collaboration between the city of Kashihara and West Japan Railway Company to promote the nearby lines and neighborhoods.

The train will run from August 29, 2025 to late March 2026. As a note, the train may not run on certain days. Aside from the Manyo Mahoroba Line, the train will also operate on the Wakayama Line and the Kisei Line (including the Wakayama and Wakayama City stations). The train will include pictures of 22 different characters from Street Fighter. At the front of the train, you’ll be able to see the same design that also appears as a manhole cover in Kashihara City.

This train is not the first initiative that Kashihara City teamed up with Capcom for to promote itself. Various locations around the city feature special manhole covers and statues, as well as a park, that are covered with Street Fighter characters. Finding them all will lead you across the city. According to the Kashihara website, Street Fighter and Kashihara are connected through Kenzo Tsujimoto, the founder of Capcom. Tsujimoto was born in Kashihara.

The Street Fighter train will run on the Manyo Mahoroba Line, Kisei Line, and Wakayama Line in Japan from August 29, 2025 to late March 2026.
