And then there’s Kyoto. Everyone talks about the temples, the geisha district, the bamboo groves. But I was here for something else and my intention is precise like a second hand in your watch. A city that wears time like a well-worn kimono. Under the tourist gloss are secondhand stores where I will be pushing my luck and see where it will go. Watches that have outlived trends, tasted decades, and now sits quietly waiting for someone who gets it. But do not be fooled because it is not always sunshine and rainbows here. Sometimes we hit, sometimes we miss.

I’ll be honest with you, I might not help you completely as a tourist guide for your Kansai trip. But I will show you the other side of Osaka and Kyoto. The side that doesn’t care if you’re a tourist or a collector. It’s just waiting for you to show up and pay attention.

Cheapest Seiko Store in Japan is quite hard to figure out and that is from my personal experience. We have tried amazing boutiques, mall stores, flea markets, electronic shops and nothing beats the classic outlet park that is located near Kansai International Airport.

This classic Seiko store have good base prices compared to what we encountered in the city but mostly old models. Which is totally fine because the style is timeless on each wrist piece.
If you have plans to grab a Seiko 5, Prospex, Speedtimers, GMTs, Grand Seiko or anything that is within that line, you might need an extra hour by just scanning of all the Seiko watches available inside the store of Rinku Outlet Park.

If you just started your watch journey like me, then there is a good chance that your path in growing your collection has the DNA of Seiko. We all know that we always want the best out of our buck and Seiko is not a stranger to that anymore and do not even talk about the endurance of this watch because they are age-proof!
