Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Yokohama, Japan, for Brazil, where he is scheduled to begin a state visit on August 24.

His spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, said the President, after concluding high-level diplomatic engagements in Japan, will make a brief stopover in Los Angeles before proceeding to Brasília, the Brazilian capital, for further strategic discussions.

President Tinubu had embarked on the two-nation trip on August 15, departing Abuja for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before arriving in Yokohama on August 18.

While in Japan, he attended the opening ceremony and plenary of the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), held a series of bilateral meetings, and rounded off with an interactive session with Nigerians in the diaspora on Thursday night.
