TICAD 9 -Day 2- (2) (The Prime Minister in Action)

On August 21, 2025, Prime Minister Ishiba attended the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), held in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The Prime Minister attended the Public-Private Business Dialogue and delivered an address, which was followed by his meeting with His Majesty King Mswati Ⅲ, King of the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Afterwards, he received a courtesy call from H. E. Maj. (Rtd) Jessica Rose Epel ALUPO, Vice President of the Republic of Uganda. He also held meetings with H. E. Mrs. Judith SUMINWA Tuluka, Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rt. Hon. Mr. Samuel Ntsokoane MATEKANE, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho, H.E. Mr. Joseph DION NGUTE, Prime Minister of the Republic of Cameroon, H.E. General Évariste NDAYISHIMIYE, President of the Republic of Burundi, H.E. Dr. José Ulisses CORREIA E SILVA, Prime Minister of the Republic of Cabo Verde, respectively.

Next, he received a courtesy call from H.E. Ms. Mariam CHABI TALATA, Vice President of the Republic of Benin, and held meetings with H.E. Mr. AZALI Assoumani, President of the Union of the Comoros, and H.E. Mr. Matamela Cyril RAMAPHOSA, President of the Republic of South Africa, respectively.
