One Day in Sendai: Pizza, Loop Bus & City of Trees

Our Japan adventure continues in Sendai, known as the City of Trees! 🌳 With only a few short hours to explore, we hopped on the Loople sightseeing bus for a whirlwind tour of the city’s highlights. From crowded streets and packed buses to peaceful neighborhoods, Sendai gave us a glimpse of both its history and modern charm.

Before sightseeing, we treated ourselves to our first pizza in four months 🍕 — a delicious stop at Dumbo Pizza in Sendai Station. No sushi, no ramen this time… just honey & fromage pizza for Lynn and pineapple margarita for Paul!

Although time was short and the crowds were heavy, we still enjoyed Sendai’s beauty and hospitality. We even made a quick stop for coffee and a lemon “donut” at Motherport Coffee before hurrying back to catch our shuttle.

Highlights include:

Riding the Loople Sendai bus (with 100 passengers packed on board!)

Delicious lunch at Dumbo Pizza (our first pizza in months)

Coffee & lemon donut at Motherport Coffee
