NAVITIME Japan, a Japanese navigation app provider, announced the most popular cherry blossom spots for international visitors by region in this spring (March 1 to May 31 2025), based on data from the navigation app for international visitors ‘Japan Travel by NAVITIME.’

Tops were Hirosaki Park in Hokkaido/Tohoku area, Ueno Park in Kanto area, Kenrokuen in Hokuriku area, Hida Takayama in Chubu area, Kiyomizu Temple in Kinki area, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Chugoku area, Ritsurin Garden in Shikoku and Katsuyama Park in Kyushu area.

Ueno Park said, “The park provided volunteer interpreter guides for international visitors to let them enjoy cherry blossom. About 4,500 visitors used the guide tours.” Ritsurin Garden was popular among visitors from Taiwan, Korea and China particularly because of good access from Takamatsu Airport. According to Hirosaki City, ‘Cherry Heart’ that looks like shape of heart was buzzed on SNS.

The NAVITIME data also finds that visitors to cherry blossom trees in Toyama City toured to Kanazawa City or Hida Takayama beyond Toyama.
