TOKYO (Dunya News) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif continues her official visit to Japan with a packed schedule of high-level meetings and institutional visits on the second day of her tour.
As part of today’s engagements, the chief minister will visit the National Center for Global Health and Medicine and the Japan Institute of Health Security, where she is expected to explore avenues of cooperation in public health and emergency preparedness.
Maryam Nawaz will also tour the headquarters of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to discuss trade expansion and investment opportunities in Punjab.
A formal meeting is scheduled with Japan’s senior vice minister for International Affairs, to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.
In Tokyo’s Ochi-Kocho, Chiyoda-ku area, she will meet Atlas Honda CEO Saquib Shirazi to discuss the company’s operations and future prospects in Pakistan.
She will also visit the Honda Headquarters in Akasaka, Minato-ku, where she will receive a detailed briefing on the company’s innovations and global strategies.
She will also visit Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and she is also scheduled to hold a meeting with the chairman of the Parliamentarians’ Friendship League, a key forum promoting bilateral parliamentary relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will host a formal dinner in honor of Maryam Nawaz and her delegation, reflecting the importance of her visit in deepening Pakistan-Japan relations.
