The Mindanao’s Most Unbelievable & Untouched Paradise

[Music] Stop the rain. Come on, let’s go to Mountain Ridge where people actually go. Today I will take you to a part of Mindanao that I have long wanted to return to because of its beauty. The rock here is big, boy. Hey, the water current is strong. I can’t believe that in such a remote place we can find a hidden paradise. Our suspicions are correct. Difficult roads lead to a beautiful destination. Just think how much is the full value of the things I showed you from the table, they are real gold. It is gold plated from here to here on the table, even to the very bottom of this chair. Are you ready because I dreamed of coming back here for four years? So let’s tour the province of Sultan Kudarat together. [Music] Good morning folks and welcome back to our new motorcycle adventure. In the previous episode, I showed you the trip we made from May Bukid Non to May Davao City. We passed the Rotyps, the Commonal Ranch, the beautiful zigzag road, the eagle until we reached the city of Davao City. And in this episode, this is where we will start motoring in the part of Matanao, Davao del Sur. where you can see this monument of ansan heroes. This is where I decided to start riding because there is too much traffic in the towns, in the cities of Digo City going here to May Matanao where we are located. Here you can see the monument. Let’s read. This peace Memorial Park encapsulates the aspiration of the people of Matanao and the collective effort of the stakeholders to achieve lasting peace in Matanao and the entire province of Davao del Sur. But it’s remarkable from where we are that it’s overlooking. Look at those mountains that are almost green. What we see is green again . And for us to start our happy journey again from here in May Matanao to May Sultan Kudarat, what are we waiting for? Let’s start it. Let’s go. [Music] [Applause] Our location here is also overlooking. You can stop, you can take a picture because it is right behind the monument. You can see the mountains. Time check. 7:00 in the morning. I hope this kind of weather doesn’t continue. There, it’s a bit cloudy. Look at what we are going through. Look at the mountains oh. Zigzag road again. [Music] Our first destination is almost where we were earlier . We are there in less than a kilometer or two minutes . But everything is new, look at what we are going through. Wow! The wind is cold . It’s delicious. That’s why you can’t blame me if I started riding here so that you can feel more that our trip is continuous. And I hope it won’t rain on our trip because from here to Davao del Sur we will cross Sultan Kudarat. Wow! Let’s go up and up. In fairness where we are. The air is cold. Something is written here. This is it. Welcome to tourist. wow Here we are. Let’s see here. Hill top view. It’s close folks. Let’s climb it because we are already here. It’s not even 200 m from where we started . There we go. We will go there but let’s try to see what we can see here. Look at it. Wow, that’s fine. Is there a way here? Hill top view. There is a way. As long as we have a road, we will continue. These mountains are terrible. Where can we be? But look at the mountains we are passing through. A different class. Look at that oh. Boom! The cruel [Music] Unexpectedly, this very place where we are is also our ultimate goal. Actually, we are at the top of the mountain. You have seen the views of the mountains here called Matanao Hilltop View. There, look at the mountains. Clouds are gradually forming. There, the clouds are coming down because we are in a high place. But the experience is different. The air is a bit cold here. In fairness to where we are. And add the beautiful views. The curves of the mountains are very beautiful. What you see here is pure green . [Music] [Music] I’ll just lower the drone and then I’ll just have ifi-flex. It’s just fast guys . When we were near Davao City, my daffle bag tore. So I bought something here near Davao City. This is our brand new bag. That’s it. Lobo Wanderer TP U bag. Actually, at first I was a bit hesitant to buy because the price was a bit painful. But first I will show you that I have no choice but to buy something like this because this is our drone. This bag is too thick because it is thicker than what we use. It’s finished with the very rim of the bag magnetic. Look, he has a magnet on his own. Our bag is not full but it is in good shape. He is square. It’s like a tree but it’s not full when there’s wind. Or to keep the air out. This release is available. It’s great. It’s waterproof and holds 50 L. We can’t travel anymore, we’re not sure, especially if our gadgets are at stake. So he has a zipper here and then he has a zipper here. It’s 50 L but it’s full. He only looks big because he has something inside him that gives him his form even though he is empty, his form is still the same . Look good. The wolf we use is cruel. [Music] It’s getting a little cloudy. Shadowy eyes. It’s only 8:30 in the morning but it’s already like this. The route we chose is beautiful. [Music] [Music] From here right where we are, we will continue to motor for less than half an hour or more than about 20 km to our next destination. We found out that the creek that you see is the one that separates Davao del Sur and here with Sultan Kudarat here with Colombio. Look at us going down and down, the scenery here is so great. And we also got rich when you come from Cotabato and go to Davao City, this is the shortcut. I have also been asked by many people that even at this time of the night, this very route of ours is safe even though it is in the mountains. So you have nothing to fear here. You see, it’s paved anyway. That’s it. Look at the mountains where we are. All around us are mountains if you only knew. Look at that. [Music] [Music] We are a little deprived of time. It’s a bit shady guys. Please excuse me if there are watermarks. Hey wait, what’s this? Wait wait. Look at it. What is it? Look at it. Let’s go ahead. Oh, there are those. There’s a mountain there. Wow, this spot is beautiful. Oh I’m cringing. It’s beautiful oh. I set out on a road that I with my own two hands. friends on the way people chose to make fl in the asiv [Music] look at what’s around us and ah we found out that this very place we are in is in the hands of Barangay Maligaya still here in Colombia Sultan Kudarat. The rice fields are very large. I don’t expect that we will see something like this that is only on the side and then we can see mountains here. I only see these kinds of greens, rice fields, mountains, etc. I am being recharged. I don’t know, I can’t explain it , but every time I see something like this, I’m so happy. We didn’t even succeed in what we wanted to do, but I was already resolved in the paddy field itself. [Music] you with me [Music] the I hope the weather cooperates because it would be a shame if it just rains on us at our next destination. This is our right side. Their decision here is very simple. I love Colombia. And from here right where we are, we still have about 15 minutes to our next destination based on our map. I can show you from here in the heart of Colombia . Come on [Applause] When we cross the bridge or we’re going offroad. We still have 6.2 2 km left based on the map we use so you can have an idea of what the road looks like and the state so that in case you go there, you already have an idea. It’s a bit rocky but that’s okay. That’s a little stoned. Off road. We still have 12 minutes. Actually, I dreamed of coming back here for a long time. 2021. Ah this is it. We are passing by I don’t know what that tree is called. But the fruits of that are collected and then the juice is extracted and turned into oil if I’m not mistaken. The man rocks here too. Just wait for a truck to slow down. I hope we can overtake. The truck is slow. Hope to persevere. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The truck hit us. 10 minutes left. There are really many trees. For those who watch this video, maybe you can comment on the name of that tree. Oh, there are so many of them here. And or that it’s raining and misting a bit. I hope it doesn’t continue. hello We still have a distance if in this kind of road condition the 4 km is still down ahead. 4 km is far when you go offroad. But let’s be patient with this mud. A little mud. Ahr. There is a little bit of that. That’s why even scooters go to these kinds of bases in the ones we pass by. The stones are just a little big . Oh my gosh. We are established. Oh, it’s really a man. But it’s good that we are conscious because the Himalayan suspension is beautiful. We are hungry. Showa is the suspension of this motor that we are in. [Music] We will go through Actually I don’t know if there is a way here. There is a path here. There is a path here. Here we are in the middle. We have no idea. So let’s just go back if we are wrong. But I doubt that we are going to the same destination. The man of the trees oh. Ah, it’s just one. Our suspicion is correct. Let’s go to the right here. That’s it. Look at the trees. Well, that’s fine. So it has a sign. Let’s go this way. Hey there are vegetables. Slippery boy. The rocks are slippery. Smooth. You know the living stones or the ones we are in now. We are here because it is raining. Because we are going down. The stone is sliding . Stone boy. That’s it. We are going through a lot. There are vegetables. That part is terrible. Op op op. U-turn boy. Abs Oh, there’s enthusiasm. Alas, there is still a river crossing. Oh, there is a river crossing. I remember this U-turn. Then there is a river crossing here kapos. Let’s go. All right, all right. We can do that. We are unconscious. Let’s just build it. All right all right. It’s basic to be aware. If you think it’s easy, you actually come from the bottom, you’ll fall down, you’ll make a U-turn, you’ll climb up here. It’s going down, it’s going down to the right, we have to go slowly. Look at the stone man. Then just a little. Oh, I’m terrible. T’s here at least it’s a good thing and they really dumped it because 4 years ago it was very muddy. That or the man of stones. It’s here. 4 minutes left. I’m terrible. Yeah. At least it’s flat. That’s it. That’s the fruit I’m talking about they’re already harvesting. I hope the weather will cooperate . Oh, great. Wow! Let’s move here. Hey, it’s very muddy, boy. Oh [Music] [Applause] I hope we will be given time. It ‘s only past 10:30 in the morning but this is the condition. Ah, the man of the stone boy is terrible. Let’s go further and further. Don’t worry even if you think we are wandering around. It’s safe here right where we are. Come on oh The size of the stone. Go ahead and be free. I was with Mitashe the man of the stones has vegetables, this is still the last one, choy, our tires are slipping badly, free of stones, it’s basic , that’s it, finally, after almost 8 km offroad, we’re here at barangay Sukob Colombios Sultan Kudarat, or that’s it, I’ll show you when we get here at barangay Sukob Colombio Sultan Kudarat, it’s still raining, but that’s right, we have coffee here that you can taste. Native coffee is said to be Php50. Good thing it didn’t rain down on the offroad side and we made it here. I hope the rain stops so we can have a chance to show you what we came here for. Let’s have coffee first. [Music] After we had coffee, we felt a little warm in our bodies. It has been raining for us in Barangay Maligaya. But that’s it folks. Look at it. Read it. The Grand La Palmera. Or that’s it. Look, even though it’s raining, she’s still so beautiful. [Music] [Applause] I hope that we will be given time to at least stop the rain because we can go there at the very end. We will go there. Will walk there. Look, even though our weather is like this, even though the weather is bad, even though it’s raining, it almost didn’t rain before we got here, and then it started pouring. But even so, the views that you can see here on the viewing deck are still very beautiful. [Music] Maybe the videos you see here in La Palmera itself are beautiful. But even if it’s raining like this, you can still enjoy it because it’s still beautiful. Nothing has changed even if it’s sunny or raining. It’s pouring pretty hard. it will remain a paradise where we are. Nothing will change no matter what time, no matter how many generations pass, it will still continue . This is what you will get here. [Music] And after almost an hour of waiting, I thought the rain wouldn’t stop. But we are so blessed. The rain stopped suddenly where it was. You can see the famous La Palmera here near Sultan Kudarat. [Music] [Music] Hello sir, welcome to La Palmera. Sir, good morning. I’m just asking how much is the entrance fee when they also come here to La Palmera? 100 po. 100 po. Is there a fee for the parking of four wheels and then a motorbike? It’s gone. That’s the brake. Oh, that’s included. What do tourists do? This is where the picture was taken. What’s the point here, they can order any kind of food. Those coffees are pastel coffee of the native. The one that belongs to us, sir, that belongs to our tribe. Sultan Kudrat is here in Colombia . What tribe is there? Three too. It’s here. There are three tribes here. Ah Christian, Muslim and then Luman. That’s our tribe. Sir, when you are the tourist here who wants to stay overnight, they have somewhere to sleep. There is. There is. That’s their room. That’s it. Ah, that’s Ph5 per head. It’s over there, what’s wrong, it’s 12. And because we had a chance, thank you Lord that the rain stopped. If only you could see that I’m losing hope. The rain stopped . Let’s go to Mountain Ridge where people really go . It’s just a bit muddy because it’s been raining continuously for several days. But since we had a chance, let’s go down to the end. [Music] It’s less than a minute from there on the viewing deck. This is what we have here in this hut. We’re going to Mountain Ridge. We’re slipping a bit. Muddy There is another hut here. Or that oh. Come on It suddenly became very sunny. Closer to it. Before we go down to the very ridge they call it, there is a hut you can pass by here. Then I hope we don’t slip. It’s a bit wet so we’ll take it slow. Let’s go down to the viewing deck below. Now if you’re going here too, don’t worry even if you think the weather is bad even if it’s sunny. But if you ask me, these types seem to be better weather conditions when you visit La Palmera because it goes out more. Just wait for someone with a stem because the color of the cogon grass stands out more here. Especially when you fly a drone, you will appreciate their green color more. Actually, right here right where we are standing, you can take a picture. But because we want to make the most of our return, we can still go down there on the other side. It’s beautiful here folks. Let ‘s go to it. We have to be careful here in the very part where we are walking because it is a bit slippery, steep. Just wait. It’s terrible. Op op. Ah, we have nothing else to touch but the cogon grass. Nothing. We have to slow down here because it’s slippery . That’s it, we’re at the end. Let’s get down here. Or that’s it. We are getting closer and closer, maybe you can see how beautiful this place is. है [Music] And after almost a few years. Yes it is. It’s just a little while, kapos, and after almost a few years, we are back again, kapos, or the viewing deck here on the mountain ridge. Let’s see the lapal from here. [Music] And when you arrive here at what they call the mountain rage of La Palmera here near Colombos Sultan Kudarat. You can see the mountains closer . It’s really worth our wait. You see there is a day. If it was really raining earlier, it’s really worth it sometimes if we have to wait. Sometimes bad weather is part of our trips . We have plan A, plan B but we chose to gamble and wait. And we weren’t disappointed because we almost singled out this la palmera. Do you see that? [Music] [Music] You can’t take away from me that I’m so amazed at where we are because it’s been four years since we visited La Palmera. But it’s still like that. Nothing has changed. This is what I often say that the beautiful places we visit in different parts of the Philippines, Mapa Luzon, Visayas up to here with Sultan Kudarat in Mindanao, well it ‘s still like this. Even if a few hundred years have passed, it will still be this beautiful place where we are. Terrible. even if you say it or kapo because there is really nothing we can do here but enjoy the view and the fresh air but when you are the one who is here right where we are located, it is a great nature therapy that divides us, you saw the hardships we went through off road, it is not very technical but when you come here it is definitely worth it just like I told you a while ago that if you are the one who can visit here in La Palmera itself and you can catch up it’s raining and the weather is bad, please give yourself some time if you’re not in a hurry because it’s a waste of time for you to go and you won’t be able to reach where we are. We are getting closer to the mountain ranges. Look it’s worth it. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] And since we are already here near Colombia Sultan Kudarat , let’s go right here near Barangay Lomo Purok Uno. It is close to where we went to La Palmera. Now we will know where that road will be because from here we will enter the main highway for 5 km. Let’s go there. [Music] [Music] So this will be the state of the road to the falls. It doesn’t matter if you have Oh oh oh oh no there is a river. River crossing to boy. It’s just the size. Look at the vegetables . Ah, that’s why it’s so deep. Here we are. Here. To. So it’s deep. Look at what we’re doing. The rock here is big, boy. hey let’s go That’s it. The water current is strong. That’s it. It can’t be completely wet. It’s fun here. Our shoes are wet. There are vegetables. Ah, it’s still muddy here. Adventure here. That’s terrible. There is also a river crossing included. After the river crossing, these are still big rocks. This is the state of the road at the very falls that we are going to here near Sultan Kudarat. Man of the stones boy. That’s it. Is it alive ? My motor is very bad. Is it really alive? I’m sure when the roads are like this, it’s very difficult to get to, what we can get to is worth it. Because I believe that when the road is difficult, there is a hidden paradise that we can discover. Hold on tight because I hate the man of stones. That’s it. Let’s go ahead. We can’t . Just stick to it. Oh my goodness, this is what we’re doing. Elbebe we are here near Barangay Elbebe. It’s terrible. [Applause] [Music] Hey, it’s going down hard, boy. Wow! There’s a vegetable, you can’t see it on camera, but it’s a vegetable. Pull down with vegetables. Wait. Where is it? Let’s go back and forth, kapos. And the longer we go on, the more intense what we are going through. It’s a good thing that they really dumped here because when it’s only mud and there are no rocks, it’s very difficult because it’s high up . That’s the man of the stone boy. The man is really a rock. Living stone again. larger than the Colombian rocks. That’s why earlier when we crossed the river, I couldn’t handle it even if I cursed! We were going to build it because it was too big. And of course, because the rocks are big, the motor can move. To the viewers , don’t be afraid because the place we are in is safe . You have nothing to fear. It’s very remote. In fact , our cell phone has no signal here. But you have nothing to fear in these places, especially here in Mindanao. Don’t be afraid and don’t let fear lead you because if you immediately give in to fear , you won’t be able to go to the hidden paradises. Here we are. Let’s park here. We are now at the parking area. Now, let’s take a peek and see the hidden paradise here in Sultan Kudarat. [Music] Hello sir, good morning live. Welcome to Pangadilan Frost and Rock Formation. Our entrance fee is Php50. Mind you the cottage is Php200. Never mind the parking area four wheels Php50. The motor is only Php20. Never mind that the POS is three. Ah, the one at the bottom will reach 17 to 19 ft. Mind you, the second one is 6 to 7 ft. Mind you, the first one is 1 to 2 ft. The child can be there. For those coming here who do not have their own car or motorcycle, they can coordinate with our provincial tourism and municipality tourism. [Music] When we arrive here in Barangay Pulomulok itself, we will leave our motorcycle and then we will pay Php50 entrance fee and Php20 parking for our motorcycle. Then from here right where our motorcycle was parked , it will be here immediately. Just walking distance. So let ‘s take a look. [Music] And just after almost five minutes from where we parked. We’ll just go down. A little slippery. Even though we had many offroad adventures on our way here, we went through the river. But it’s either kapo people or the court falls and rock formation. Look at that. [Music] I can’t believe that in such a remote place we can find a hidden paradise. Our suspicions are correct. Difficult roads lead to a beautiful destination. This is one of the examples of the famous slogan that I said because when you come here look at the many rocks, rock formations and then the river. And guess what? The tourists who are going to the place where we are located in the front can take a bath . There are 2 fet there. The depth for the children behind us is 4 to 5 feet , then down to the front, there are 6 to 9 feet. Then the deepest down in the front is 14 ft to 19 ft. Very different water levels. The water we came across was very clear. Very good timing because yesterday it rained heavily but we are so blessed because we had it. The cleanliness of the stones. Animoy glowed when we flew the drone. And add that. The water that flows here is very clean right where we are. [Music] He was called the court ah from the word adil po that means adil sa magano is prepared ready to med po because in the early days our grandparents ate here they cooked here they gathered together to cook then feed them to their barangay [Music] What are the taboos and what can be done here in the falls? Ah, smoking is not allowed in the falls. It is also forbidden to wash. You are not allowed to eat because we have a smoking area upstairs. Then we have a cottage upstairs. When was it opened to the public? During the pandemic, in 2019, we copyrighted tourism, then they were the ones who opened it to the public. Because it used to be during the pandemic that the ocean and the swimming pools were closed. So they turned the mountains into a tourist side or tourist attraction. It doesn’t matter that the Court is involved in La Palmera. They went together. [Music] To everyone who is going, don’t be afraid because the rock formation Dilan Frost is very safe for tourists and our guests. The Lumad Christian and Muslim are united here but the Court Force is pure, so those people are here. accommodating and welcoming [Music] [Music] I don’t know if I’m the only one who notices. But where we are, it’s like nature intended to split the rocks so that the current of the river could pass. It’s my first time to see such rock formations and then there is a river and there are falls below. It’s almost 3 past one here right where we are. It’s great to make nature. [Music] And for everyone watching this video, I’m the one telling you that it’s beautiful. It was so worth it when we went. Even though we are in the Muslim community, you have nothing to fear. And I hope the same will be planted in your minds. Please, these places are the ones we should help and I’m not surprised that one day it will be among the popular tourist destinations in our country. Because look at the clarity of the water and then there are waterfalls. Then it’s the rock formation 3 in one. [Music] [Music] Goat [Music] let’s go to a few places here near Sultan Kudarat where you will really be blown away by the beautiful scenery then let’s go back here near Takurong City where we will eat first. Wait, I’ll just look for that. I don’t remember where it is. Or maybe it’s about 30 minutes away from there in Colombia itself, Sultan Kudarat. Let’s go on a fu-food trip first. That’s why we’re here first because I heard from the very people we’re going to eat that they have something different to eat here. So after we show the beautiful sights, let’s go chicbog first. Let’s go. Welcome to Lolo Maring’s native chicken. Sir good morning I’m just asking how much is a native chicken for you? Ah, because that depends on what sir in the slices then sizes. So right now he is ranging in price from Php160 to Php200. Sir, I noticed that the basting you use is strange. What are you using right now sir? The classic is really just a classic, what is star margarine, that’s his brand. But it used to be that the original pork lard was just to respect our brothers, our brothers in Islam. So we just replaced the classic margarine with margarine. How have you maintained since the 1960s that only native chickens are eaten? So what we used to do was go to another province to make money. okay? And then it became famous again. At least the business has been known for a long time. They are only the one who delivers here. Ah two provinces let’s say magindanao once in North Coot. North Cotabato late 50s. Grandfather first became a trader of native chicken from Takurong to Davao City. He started just trying, he is good at cooking, mixing, our families and friends liked it. Then he’s not really a pure native, he just let it go so that it’s unique and different. Since the 1960s until now, we only serve native chicken. [Music] [Music] This is the most exciting part after we embarked on the off-road adventure there with Pangadilan Waterfalls and Rock Formation. Hey, we found out that right here in Takurong City, Sultan Kudarat, someone has been serving native chicken since the 1960s. We do not expect that here in Sultan Kudarat itself we will be able to eat native chicken. You saw earlier that their recipe is from the 1960s as well as the basing they put in it. And because I’m curious if I’m not mistaken Php190 to Php220 depending on the size of the native chicken. So because I’m intrigued by the taste. Let’s pinch. First bite for you. You will really know the distinct taste of native chicken compared to commercialized chickens. And the beauty of the native chicken here at Lolo Mao Rings is that even though we eat native chicken, the flesh of the native chicken is very soft. I also can’t believe that it’s native chicken because the flesh is so soft to describe the taste of chicken. I also can’t believe that the basting or the one that is rubbed on the native chicken itself is just margarine. The taste or the natural taste of native chicken comes out even if only classic margarine is applied. I thought it was smeared with something special, but when I found out that it was margarine, I was even more impressed with the chicken itself. Oh, that’s strange. I hope you can taste it too. [Music] Welcome to the City of Takurang where we can find Loloma Rings Native Chicken since the 1960s. So its impact on the City of Takorong. Of course, this is one of the goto restaurants here. Of course, these are the famous ones because, um, this is their business since the 1960s. That’s why this is, this is the award that the Department of Tourism gave to them for being um for their impact here in our city. This is halal for all of our brothers and sisters in the Muslim community. Welcome, welcome here because the grandfather is halal. [Music] And besides the native chicken they are proud of here in May lolo mains, they also serve grilled catfish. It’s my first time to taste it. That’s if I’m not mistaken. Php150 to Php250. It’s a huge serving. Actually I was intrigued because it was my first time to taste it. So from the grill itself, it’s still quite warm. Let’s taste it again. First bite for you. Just like I told you, you would think that someone specially mixes them right into the application. But I don’t know why but he has a distinct taste. Wow! This catfish is delicious. It’s delicious. Look how big it is . I just found out that catfish are not thorny. It was obvious that it was our first time to eat catfish. The flesh is more than the thorns and very soft. Has a distinct taste. You can enjoy it too. If you’re thinking that grilled native chicken and catfish are the only ones here at lolo mains, you’re wrong because they also have crispy duck here. Actually, it’s my first time to taste duck and here in Takurong City, Sultan Kudarat. let’s eat And since this Lolo Mao Rings serves native chicken, they also have a variation of adobo here, but it’s still native chicken. Let’s taste it , let’s judge immediately. That’s it. Native chicken is delicious, folks. If you love such dishes, wow there is a glass of milk. The best oh. Everything we eat here is worth it. If you are also looking for soupy dishes They won’t be late either because they have something here called binakol. It’s like native chicken again. Let’s taste it. Only in one place are we almost emerging. Maybe we deserve it after the hardships we went through in Colombo, in the Pangadilan Polls. Well, we went on a food trip. Let’s taste the binol now so you can have an idea of what the taste of the native chicken that they call binol is like, you know the one that looks like it has a little tinola that is sweet because look at what it has in it, I don’t know if it’s a bone. It’s like it’s cooked in my hair so it’s a bit sweeter. Hmm There is a new taste that touches our lips. Bangakol is also strange. And not only there because there is another strange dish that will land here in our lamiso. So it doesn’t matter if this is the so-called inubad chicken. [Music] It’s still native chicken as usual here at Loloma Rings and let’s take it. There are so many dishes here that you can taste. Especially the inubadan is a bit new to our ears. There he has soup. Let’s taste the soup first . Hmmm. so you can have an idea. You know the cooked legume, typically cooked legume that will immediately dominate. Ah actually he has legumes but the actual ingredient or the one mixed with the native chicken is the core, the heart of the banana. The heart of the banana is the innermost part called the core. And that’s the one mixed with mixed with legumes. ok even accompanied by native chickens. If you happen to be stuck here in Sultan Kudarat, you should try the food here at Lolo Maings. let’s eat [Music] [Music] After we eat native chicken doun at Lolo Mao Rings, let’s go to something here in the town of Esperan in Sultan Kudarat. Where I can show you. Take note it’s rainy season now. But right here in their public market, it’s still like summer. [Music] Mabuhay sir, welcome to Esperan Sultan Kudarat, the Halo Capital of the Philippines. Because Esperanza is the Halo-Halo Capital of the Philippines, we have almost 30 stalls here in Esperanza. And you see, even when it rains, people flood us. We have a mixed festival during April, that’s summer time. Because halo-halo is really eaten during summer. But here with Esperanza all throughout the year. All throughout the year, every day we are flooded with people mixing things up. This mix-up is part of the livelihood of our people. Since 1970, we have had a lot of halo-halo. Almost 40 stalls. What’s the difference between the mixed ones here and Esperanza’s? The mix of Esperanza is very authentic and classic. That’s what we’re fighting for. Because here at Esperanza, the ingredients are homemade. There are no preservatives. It is really made everyday to be fresh. There is no ice cream. [Music] When you enter the public market of Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat, you will be confused by the number of stalls that are almost next to each other and serve classic halo-halo in a row . [Music] Since there are so many sellers and serving a mix of things, we have chosen here at stall number five. Mom, when did you start selling stuff here? 1986. 1986. Wow. So from 1986, the ingredients you use are still the same. Just added. It has been added. But that’s all . Do you do all that yourself? Yes. You yourselves. On Monday, you all wake up and plan to cook leche. How many ingredients do you have? About 13 or so. 13? The bowler is already there. Oh There is also powdered milk. But of all that, what is the best? It seems strange . Yes. what is that Leche flan. Yes. Leche flan. A tree. That’s three eggs. That’s one. Yes. He is big. Like a cake, what’s new? wow We also cook the nata coco . We are all. Mom, how is that when this rainy season, many people are still eating. A lot. A lot. Then how is that? The other one summer is not easy to dissolve. Yes, it’s wrapped to take to their house, take out is wrapped in something like a smoke celopin, then wrapped in newspaper, but what you eat here when you want extra ice, is there a fee for that? No, I don’t get paid, I don’t get paid for the milk, there’s a time when I ask for extra yellow, ah, there’s no fee, wow, then they add a leche plan. Most of the leche plants don’t even have a fee. [Music] So this is what we ordered for Php50. Classic mix here in the town of Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat. And even though it’s rainy season now, they are still continuously serving halo-halo. It’s terrible. Let’s wait for it. It’s delicious. You would think that. Actually, I didn’t think that the city of Esperan itself is here in Sultan Kudarat, the mixed capital in the whole Philippines. I taste peanuts . Do you have peanuts? Yes. Ah there are peanuts. Actually all the halo-halo stalls here in the public market of Esperansa almost all offer classic halo-halo and they all usually and most of them have been serving halo-halo here for a long time. Actually, if you think that when the mixture has melted here in Esperansa , you can add extra ice. There is no fee. Lots of ingredients. Two gelatins. There are two types of gelatin here. There is still a lump of gelatin. There is sago, leche flant, avocado, pineapple, ube, banana, nata de coco. There, corn and peanuts. And all the things I mentioned to you are all homemade. That’s why I won’t be surprised that this very town of Esperansa here with Sultan Kudarat is the halo-halo capital of the Philippines. let’s eat [Music] After we ate the classic halo-halo, we motored back here to the isulan where the provincial capital of Sultan Kudarat is located so that we can have a deeper understanding of what the province of Sultan Kudarat is like. Live! Welcome to the province of Sultan Kudarat. The Sultan Kudarat is the name of Sultan Muhammad de Patwan Kudarat. So Christians are 80%, Muslims are 15%, IP is almost only 5% of our IP here. People who are looking forward to it, we have usungan. Usungan These are the traditional weddings of our royal family. And these are our jars that are about 60 years old. And these are the 100 year old jars. We called it. If you have jars in your house, there are some like this. You are a royal family or a rich man. This is Magindawan based on their culture. So if you have something like this in their activities or in their merrymaking, in all their activities, this is what they really use. For example that is Leos of Maranao. So that really has meanings. So all of that has meanings . So it’s different, but he was able to wave that hand. Or that is almost how many meters? It’s almost 50 to 70 met or 100 met, that’s the other one. It is lowest almost 25 m 30 m. [Music] And since we had the opportunity , I will give you a glimpse of what the provincial governor’s sweet room looks like. Come on It’s a privilege for us. When you enter here at the front, look at this. [Music] And since we had the opportunity to enter the Governor’s Lounge, I can show you. When you enter here, just look at the appearance of this very room. [Music] Maybe you noticed the chairs, the furniture here are yellow and they are not paintings because all the ones you see are real gold. It is gold plated from here to here on the table, even to the very bottom of this chair. Everything you see is gold plated. [Music] And even at the very bottom of this table, all the way to the bottom , it’s gold plated. That’s it. Very detailed and really covered in gold. Seriously, pure gold and nothing more. Look at it. The many gold plated ones. Almost all the seats are here. Then look at how many chairs are covered with gold. It’s all gold plated. Look at it. Let’s get closer. You might say I’m kidding you. That’s it. We feel the same way. It’s delicious. This is the feeling of sitting on a gold plated chair. Look at that amount. Just think how much is the full cost of what I showed you from the table, chairs and so on. Everything is gold plated. It’s been a long heart season. I’m feeling to my bones. I guess that’s my packed my bags and now I’m gone. [Music] And from here to La Palmera where these beautiful mountain ranges are located. I hope you liked our trip from there to Matanao, Davao del Sur. until we reached this province of Sultan Kudarat. And if you like these kinds of travel adventures, maybe I can ask for one from you. It would be a big help if you subscribe to our little channel and so that you are always updated when I post new adventures here on YouTube and it doesn’t end here because like I always say, there are many more of us going to distant provinces to show the hidden paradises here in the Philippines [Music] Oh oh between the sun and the blue sea. when you find me fl out on be between the sun and my deep blue se my feet in the we don’t drink in my Need me the sun and the [Music]
