  2. From my personal experience, the food quality is still (very) good even if the meal costs 500 Yen in most Japanese restaurants. Soba and Udon meals are perfectly good, even if one foregoes the tempura toppings.

  3. 5 years ago.. I took my friends to Sukiya but being a fussy eater, I couldn't enjoy anything and had to return empty stomach. Guess who's going to visit Japan now.

  4. Back when I worked security, I would go to a local Japanese restaurant for noodles and fried pork cutlet. It came with small cups of pickled shredded cabbage and my favorite, pickled ginger. The sisters that worked there (it was a family place) were incredibly kind, friendly, and nice to me. Always gave me extra ginger, which I appreciated!

  5. To be honest, the second one portions were too big hard to do in one bite the third one as well, so the first option was probably the best thing the most economical
