Japan 2025 – Day 11 – Travel from Niigata to Numata

Today I grabbed some coins. We see some landscape and I point at the stone. Good morning. It’s uh our last day in Nigata and today we are moving uh back to the area near Tokyo. But um we decided to give the Nigata uh museum a second try because it should be open today. So yeah, let’s try that again, I guess. Oh, within within 2hour drive ahead of us. I stopped at a 7-Eleven and we got us some food or the breakfast. I got my some donut and the only pizza bun. So, we eat a bit and then we hit the hit the road. So, we arrived at the city of Numata and uh behind us is the tourist information center and there should be some castle ruins. Um they got even information brushier in Germany in Germany. Um anyways, let’s have a look around. This this tree behind me is 400 years old. It’s an tree planted um yeah when there was a castle around here. This castle itself was uh raised to the ground in some what was it also 400 years ago. So uh yeah the owner of the castle at this time was against the tou the shugunat and yeah he lost that fight but there are still trees around from that time. So in the peaceful samurai area or era um there were some lords that uh beheaded the other ones and placed the stones uh placed their heads on stones. This stone or this stone? This one. I’m not sure which one. And there were two heads. So plenty of stones. So after the gata, this is an whole other can of worms regarding a town. It’s quite uh small, but we have a look around to find something to eat. Heat. Hey, Heat.
