Studios Hollywood to take you on Despicable
Me: Minion Mayhem. – So if you’re ready. – We are ready. – [Both] Let’s ride! Shaboom! (upbeat music) ♪ Coming for the crown it’s a shut down ♪ ♪ Coming for the crown it’s a shut down ♪ (upbeat music) – All right, so let’s get
right to your questions. (doorbell tolling)
– Banana, banana, ah! (Mike chuckles)
(Dylan throat clearing) – Oh. – Yeah.
– Sorry. Are there doorbells that you can ring and hear different Minions’ reply?” (tone dings)
Yes. – “What kind of ride is this?” It’s a motion simulation-based experience with practical effects. “What’s the ride story?” Well, Gru has just come up with another diabolical
plan to take over the world. – Research. – “What kind of effects
does this ride have?” (mischievous music) (upbeat music) This wasn’t in the script. – In this attraction, you’ll experience: Mist.
(atomizer hisses) (upbeat music continues) Light wind. (fan humming) More light wind. (blower buzzing) And. (gasps) – Don’t you dare. – Fine. I’m sorry. – “Is there a minimum height requirement?” There is. You’ll need to be at least 40 inches to qualify for Minion training on these motion-simulation vehicles. – However, if your little thrill seeker isn’t quite 40 inches, but
still loves the Minions, this ride has stationary seating, making it the perfect
attraction for everyone, regardless of height or thrill level. – “Can I use Universal Express?” You sure can. – “Is this Gru’s Ride?” Yes and no. You’re definitely going to see Gru inside, but this is a celebration of Margo, Edith, and Agnes’s adoption day. – And Edith has been put in charge of training you to be a Minion. – “Did I hear there’s
a Minion dance party?” You did, and there is. ♪ Dance party ♪ – “Can my family ride together?” – Yes. The Minion Transformation Pod holds up to eight people. Enough room for all the Minions-to-be. – Anything else before we wrap? – Mm. – This again. – Do it. – Cactus don’t talk. – Cactuses do talk. – Cactus don’t talk. ♪ Cactus can sing ♪ – It’s time to load into our
Minion Transformation Pod. – Caution: Laughter seems
to be a common side effect throughout this experiment. (Mike chuckles)
– Told you. – Ha. (daring music) Do it! Make me a Minion. (both shouting) – [Dylan] Do you feel any different? – I feel yellow and blobbish. Yeah, I like this. (Mike shouts) Here we go! Look, there it is.
– Whoa, whoa. No more cactus. – It would’ve been fine. You were caught scared for no reason. – Whoa.
– Oh. – Oh. What? – [Both] Ice water. – Oh.
– Laser beams. – [Dylan] We got this. – We are good at avoiding laser beams. – Yeah. (boxing glove thuds)
(Minion screams) Ooh.
(Mike chuckles) – Oh-oh, oh-oh. Gru, help us out! – Oh, he needs help himself. – Everybody work together! – Oh, oh.
– Yeah! – Oh, he’s got it. He’s got it. (both shouting) That was amazing. There’s water, flyswatters,
