Japan’s meatsticks are underrated ❤️🇯🇵 🍖
Why do Japanese love little meat sticks? Back in the Edo period, after touching swords, samuris touched meat sticks because you can’t swing a katana on an empty stomach. Street vendors grilled fish, eels, and meat over charcoal, selling them on skewers so people could eat while walking. Japan’s original fast food. Now I’m at a small meatstick festival, doing the only logical thing, trying as many skewers as I can get my hands on. Honestly, this might be Japan’s most underrated food. Most tourists skip it, but nothing beats Japan’s meat sticks.
