KATSEYE will move forward with a five-member lineup at Summer Sonic Tokyo after it was confirmed that Manon will not be able to join Sunday’s performance due to health concerns. The update was shared through the group’s official community channels, just days after they were also forced to cancel their Summer Sonic Osaka stage.

“We are very sorry to share that Manon will not be able to perform at Summer Sonic Tokyo on Sunday, August 17, as her condition has declined upon landing in Tokyo.” the statement read. “She has since made the decision after consulting her doctor to rest in order to recover as soon as possible. We know many EYEKONS were looking forward to seeing all KATSEYE members on stage at Summer Sonic Tokyo and we sincerely apologize for the unforeseen change.”

The news follows a separate message the group shared earlier in the week regarding the canceled Osaka stop, where two members had been feeling unwell. “We are so sad to miss Summer Sonic Osaka, we wish so deeply we could be there,” KATSEYE wrote to fans, promising to make it up to their growing fanbase. At the time, the group reassured EYEKONs that they would still appear in Tokyo, but Manon’s health setback has since adjusted those plans.

Despite the challenges, anticipation remains high for KATSEYE’s Summer Sonic Tokyo stage. The six-member collective—formed through the HYBE x Geffen global audition program in 2023—has quickly risen to prominence, drawing massive crowds at major festivals and charting worldwide with their music.

Earlier this month, KATSEYE made history with a record-breaking performance at Lollapalooza 2025 in Chicago. Their Saturday afternoon set at Grant Park pulled an estimated 85,000 people between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., the largest daytime crowd in the festival’s history. Fans also tuned in globally via livestream, making their debut at the iconic festival one of the standout moments of the summer. Performing songs from their second EP Beautiful Chaos, including Billboard-charting singles “Gnarly” and “Gabriela”, the group showcased the charisma, precision, and vocal strength that have made them one of pop’s most closely watched new acts.
