According to the seiyuu’s agency, Tomo Sakurai 櫻井智, who voiced Cynthia in Pokemon and Mylene Flare Jenius in Macross 7, passed away on August 13 due to cancer. Originally she had planned to hold a live concert “TOMO Summer 2025 Live！” on August 17 but had to cancel it on the 4th because she did not feel well. She was hospitalised on the 10th but passed away three days later. She was 54. May her rest in peace.
