Inside Nebuta Museum WA‑RASSE | Aomori’s Festival Floats Up Close – Best of Japan

[Music] Welcome to Amori. The Omori Nebutam Museum stands just a couple of minutes walk from JR Omori station. It’s Omorei’s yearround gateway to the famous Nebuta Festival. [Music] Inside, past a striking red ribbon-like exterior inspired by Almorous forests, the museum brings the spirit of Nebuta Matsuri to life any time of year. Step into the main hall and encounter massive floods nebutas that were part of previous festivals. These lantern sculptures up to about 9 m wide and 5 m high are displayed so you can walk all around them and study their intricate details up close. You can even touch parts of the floors and explore exhibits on the festival’s 300 year history in the Nebuta tunnel exhibit. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music]
