京都で味わう絶品ランチ9選|京町屋の本格イタリアン、大人のチキンライス&カフェ、老舗店で季節の懐石ランチ|京都グルメ|京都観光
Thank you for watching KYOTO . This video introduces nine delicious lunches recommended in Kyoto. I hope you enjoy it until the end. Our first stop is a restaurant in Shijo Karasuma famous for its Saikyozuke pickles. On the second floor of the main store, you can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine. The room is beautiful with beautiful stained glass. Anticipation is building… The menu is a monthly changing course meal. Today, we’ll be enjoying the Satsuki set meal… Starting with a colorful appetizer arranged on a plate with the character “ichi” (one). Feel the breath of fresh greenery and enjoy the visuals as well. Each dish is deeply flavorful and meticulously prepared, impressing… The bowl dishes bring out the full flavor of the ingredients. This is also very delicious – the conger eel is plump. Every bite brings a smile to your face. The main dish, “Gindara Kura Miso Yaki,” is served with rice cooked in a clay pot. (The rice was also sweet and delicious!) Beautifully cooked (it’s hard to cook it well at home, so it’s only possible at a specialty restaurant), the flesh was plump, and the miso was exquisite. It was a perfect taste that made me proud of Japanese cuisine! We were treated with such warm hospitality, and had a delicious time that left us feeling satisfied. The first floor is a sales corner, where you can purchase the Nishikyozuke pickles we had earlier. Let’s buy some to take home as souvenirs. I wonder if they’ll cook it well. ☺ Next, we went to a Chinese restaurant in Shijo Karasuma. Even though it was a weekday, there were several groups waiting for the restaurant to open. This restaurant serves Beijing cuisine in a retro Western-style townhouse. The impressive name “Zencho” (lunch box) refers to the kitchen of Otsu-kyo. It was named “Zencho Han” (lunch box Han) as it resembled the kitchens of Beijing, which are based on Chinese imperial cuisine. “Kontenhan” (Today’s Food) is only available on weekdays. The daily main course, along with dim sum and soup, is a great deal. A lovely courtyard can be seen from the back of the dining room. Kyoto is truly a fascinating place, offering lunch in such a wonderful setting. Our third stop was an Italian restaurant in Kawaramachi Marutamachi. This restaurant, renovated from a Kyoto townhouse, offers authentic Italian cuisine. The combination of modern Japanese space and jazz is stylish. The soup had the gentle sweetness of Jerusalem artichoke. It was delicious… Even the appetizers were luxurious! The mushrooms were incredibly fresh. We chose two types of panini. The bread was a baguette from Shinshindo. The cheese sauce was rich and rich. The yuzu mustard added a nice touch. Both dishes had excellent combinations of ingredients and sauces! We had Akita nama donburi, known as “meat from the fields,” with squid and chrysanthemum greens. This was also incredibly delicious, finished with a touch of bergamot oil. This is truly a pasta dish for adults.♡ The last time I went, it was a weekday, but it was fully booked. Reservations are recommended. Dinner is also popular, so I’d like to return.♡ My next stop, my fourth, was a cafe near Heian Shrine. Looking back, I often see myself eating quiche in my videos…😋 I love it. This quiche is packed with ingredients and is delicious. The salad with lots of ingredients and the chicken were delicious! My fifth stop was a dim sum restaurant in Eiden Mototanaka. Each dim sum was large. The portions were generous! There were two types of shrimp and plump porridge to choose from. I chose the chicken thigh ginger porridge. The piping hot, hearty char siu rice set was also very filling! The char siu was moist and delicious. The interior was lovely, and the dim sum was delicious. Our next stop, our sixth, was a Vietnamese-French restaurant in Kitashirakawa, featuring Kyoto vegetables. The orange chairs stood out in a bright interior. Since it was Lunar New Year, they served us special New Year’s rice dumplings. They were chewy and delicious, tossed in the sauce… The journey to Vietnam began in my mouth! The Bat Trang pot was adorable! The vegetables were crunchy! The gentle broth was delicious. Don’t you find yourself craving pho regularly? Delicious! 😊 It was a very cozy restaurant, and next time I’d like to try the dessert, too. Our next stop, our seventh, was a delicious chicken rice restaurant in Gosho-minami. 🍴 They serve “Adult Chicken Rice”! 🐔 What a lovely name! ♡ Even the appetizers were luxurious! The hamburger steak was juicy and delicious! For my other main course, I chose the shrimp cream croquette. The “Adult Chicken Rice” came with a salad. The potato salad was also delicious. The last time I visited, I ordered a different sauce, but each one had its own distinct flavor, almost like a separate dish! There’s pilaf hidden inside the crispy chicken. Truly delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed it today, too. For dessert, I had a matcha brownie and vanilla ice cream. My next stop, my eighth, was a cafe located in a traditional Japanese townhouse near Bukkoji Temple. I had to wait a bit before I could enter. Their tarts and quiche are popular. The quiche was chock-full of vegetables, and the curry was hearty! It’s also supposedly healthy. ☺ This townhouse, with its beautiful atrium, is 120 years old. I enjoyed the unique Kyoto cafe atmosphere. Now, on to my next and final stop: a rooftop bar, a rare find in Kyoto! While not for lunch, I’d like to introduce a wonderful spot for a relaxing moment. This restaurant is located on the rooftop of The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu. The hotel was built in the former Kiyomizu Elementary School building, giving it a sense of its deep roots in the land. Reservations are difficult to make unless you’re a guest staying at the hotel, so we arrived about an hour before sunset. The open view and the pleasant breeze… We toasted with a beautifully colored cocktail that evoked the sunset 🥂 The piping hot food and the drinks just went down so well. As sunset approached, more and more people started to gather. We leisurely waited for the sunset while enjoying the 360° Kyoto view… Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we leisurely gazed upon the changing colors of the sky. The setting sun was a little sad, but our minds calmed as the sky lit up… We were able to enjoy a sophisticated moment away from the hustle and bustle. We hope this information will be helpful when choosing a restaurant during your Kyoto sightseeing trip. Thank you for watching! Hope to see you soon, have a nice day♪
