It’s the old one-two, with one car confirmed, and the next teased, ahead of Version 1.0.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer confirms first-gen GT-R, teases current Supra

As the months, weeks and days count down to the full release of the Tokyo Xtreme Racer reboot, two more cars have been added to the roster.

Following the recent addition of the Lexus RC F, Nissan (Fairlady) Z and Toyota GR Yaris RZ comes the Nissan Skyline GT-R.

More specifically, the first generation – known as the PGC10 or Hakosuka – which started the ball rolling for high-performance versions of the otherwise ordinary family saloon.

This version is the two-door model, first debuted in 1970. Its straight-six engine and shortened wheel base were put to good effect, winning races in Japanese touring car racing. It joins later models, such as the R32, R33 and R34 in the game.

Fifth-generation Toyota Supra teased

At the end of the Nissan confirmation video is a shadowy teaser for the next entry – and we think this is the current, fifth-generation Toyota Supra.

Known to enthusiasts as the J29/DB or A90/A91, this was a joint venture with BMW, sharing a drivetrain and Austrian factory with the BMW Z4 of the same era.

Production is scheduled to end in mid-2026 with a special ‘Final Edition’. We think its distinctive ‘bubble’ roofline and wing mirror give the game away in the teaser.

Throughout its life, it has been available with a 3-litre or a 2-litre engine, manual or automatic gearboxes. All are rear-wheel drive.

Tokyo Extreme Racer is scheduled to leave early access on PC in September. There is no word on console versions yet.
