Cuba SUCKS! (Why You Should NEVER Travel There) 🇨🇺
cuba is living in unprecedented times if you can imagine just imagine the last 48 hours I’ve been here in Cien Fueos there’s been light for 2 hours now a normal Cuban would just say lui an optimistic Cuban would say “Well look it we have lots of light sunlight.” And a pessimistic Cuban would say Kongaloo i didn’t expect to be in this city but it has an interesting history a history linked to Russia and Venezuela let’s learn some history and see some funny things let’s [Music] see they don’t overhaze okay you saw Ignasio back there just a man with this bottle of rum next to the sea i asked if he wanted money he said “Nope.” Now some people here in Cuba actually the most of most of the people will not accept money they’re very they’re very good people and then you’ll find people who ask you for money they’re not working or anything because they have vices cuz life here is is tough and then you’ll find people working old young really old it’s a fascinating place and look at in the bario you can get beer cheaper than anywhere else look at cervesa 190 wow i’ve been paying 220 on the street and 350 which is like a dollar in the restaurant sometimes more yikes behind me is a piece of Soviet and Venezuelan and Cuban history now the Soviets built this oil refinery or what it was and of course when the union collapsed this fell into disrepair before 2005 ugo Chavez and Fidel Castro put an agreement to put it back together and this was a hub for oil petroleum in fact Ugo Chavez he donated materials to help construct an entire bario of houses there derived from prochemicals anyways there’s still some oil production happening here but of course Pedvesa who I have friends who work for that company they had to flee to Spain they lost their jobs everyone lost their jobs in Venezuela well we have a remnant of that we can see the stacks there a couple ships a little port and my god the gas here is very short which is why ultimately I’m in Sien Fueos because the taxi couldn’t bring me any further and it’s so hard to get from one city to another it’s a freaking adventure in itself and it’s actually really expensive they don’t like accepting pesos they want dollars because the exchange rate is changing on a daily basis uh we are really like I said living in unprecedented times perhaps the worst time in Cuban history that’s saying something maybe maybe it was a little bit worse during the Independence War when there were concentration camps but I digress pescares thank you bye-bye bye there you go yankee [Music] those two guys are listening to baseball on the radio my god check this out we have a mango tree wow maybe give these a month there’ll be big juicy mangoes [Music] you guys I’ve heard people say that Cuba isn’t a third world country it’s a fifth world country uh that’s what Cubans themselves have told me seal is load [Music] mhm [Music] hey This has to be easily top five worst countries for elderly people every single house you pass there’s an older person sitting outside just basically sitting there staring into the open it’s uh it’s it’s tough to see and the further east we go the worse it gets that’s what they told me and that’s what we’re seeing by the way this city is called La Pa delsur it’s known for being a clean city but this whole park here this is a locomotive park an old train it’s full of trash ante parkito no jesus hola what is mñana okay okay perfecto look it it’s an abandoned hospital for her mother’s Palasio de laid it’s actually a beautiful building man this country is something else we made it to the town center or the city center and I got to tell you it’s got some major potential now when Obama was president he opened up relations here if you guys remember people here were extremely optimistic they said cruise ships were coming in on a daily basis they said they loved the American tourists life here was finally looking up then Trump came into office and that sort of stuff seized more or less but what really hit it hard was co absolutely decimated this country but all these cities big and small have so much potential whether it’s Sien Fuego Santi Spiritus Bayama Santiago Olin uh Kamaguay all of these cities have such massive potential and truthfully historically speaking culturally speaking I think it’s the best place the most authentic place in all of Latin America [Music] [Applause] two port in Bolivia no no no woman no no no no woman see No [Laughter] [Music] I see what’s up Hey guys this is a staterun store we have some rum bottles for example that’s 7 MLC the equivalent of $1 US but in the government credit card MLC it’s different than the cash I’ve been using some dressing $375 this is like a store that’s specialized in remittances so people from outside send money to that cart and then they buy it here like we’ve seen all the products we have some instant potatoes here for 240 uh cookies for 215 interesting system here in Kuba all right you guys ugo Chavez when he used to visit Fidel Castro and when they inaugurated the oil refinery this is where Ugo Chavez stayed wow he was very close to the United States and you know who founded Sien Fueos it wasn’t the Spanish it was the French so we see slightly different architecture labahadores rabahadores this is Andalucia it looks like Granada Spain check out the arches look at the richness of the culture the architecture that’s preserved somehow after the reconquest these uh styles or this style was brought here for one reason or another looks like Cordoba or Granada Spain see Cordoba or Granada now next to this was Fulhensio Batista’s playground Casino Hagua no Hotel Hagwa oh Hotel Hagwa where yes the mafia was here to a lesser degree than Havana to the upscale neighborhoods of a Havana and of course after the revolution this was expropriated and now it’s just a hotel in disrepair but yeah casinos were here the mafia was here prostitution was here tons of American tourists and American dollars were flowing through this area commandante okay montente fore okay elliot commandante hemway [Laughter] okay see much opportunity [Music] [Music] yeah [Music] loose [Music] gracias the light just went for the third time today here in San Fueos so we got to fill up the generator so we can run the uh cafeteria chowo chiao this is a constant constant constant constant here like [Music] [Applause] Hello good morning from the Escambri Mountains La Sierra Escambri now like most places in Cuba these beautiful nature parks were home to rebellion guerilla warfare everything in between after Castro took power before the Bay of Pigs there was a rebellion here a few select people uh turned against Castro and they sided with insurgency and so they tried to resist here but Castro sent hundreds of thousands of troops and squashed that real quick so this was called the rebellion Escambra and as we go east we’re going to see more mountainous regions where we can learn more about that history wow the nature here is unbelievable i didn’t expect this a nice pleasant surprise we’re going to go take a dip down there there’s a pool waterfall and I’ve seen here Russian tourists Germans quite interesting are you from Russia yes privette yeah that’s really cool honestly to see this i’m the only American anywhere I go i’m in enemy territory this is like better than Costa Rica oh it’s cold let’s go check it out i feel like Gabriel Traveler or Harold Balder in Mumbai in the slums if I tell them I’m American that’s it i’m going to disappear in the jungle oh wow [Music] we’ve made it to Trinidad one of Cuba’s oldest cities a UNESCO World Heritage site a place they did a good job preserving when money was flowing in in fact we have our Russian friends here a symbol of the past connection but you guys this place is bleak there’s uh yeah it’s depressing here i know it’s sunny and beautiful but you can’t ignore the fact that yeah this is uh this is much worse than San Fueos listen it’s really hot here extremely hot and so you’d think oh summer I don’t know good vibes there’s a beach nearby but this is going to be a struggle to keep going eastward because it’s just impossible to ignore the reality you got to get out of the tourist center here cuz basically if you make contact with anyone you got you know everyone on you i hate that feeling cuz you know that people need help but you can’t help everyone [Music] cuba like all of the other Hispanic American nations was Christianized and it was very Catholic for centuries until Castro prohibited it and before that when the slaves were brought here by the English the creoyos the Spanish also the French and the North Americans well their beliefs were also prohibited and so what they did was masqueraded their beliefs using the Catholic saints la de la karid the virgin of the copper and that’s what we call Santaia [Music] okay I got the ladies of the bario and since it’s sat Sunday and we’re celebrating we’re going to buy some beers okay [Music] all right guys it’s a It’s a party this is awesome [Music] higher wal [Music] come on [Music] [Music] uh-huh [Music] [Music] say foreign no mhm lovely people and so he bought like 20 beers cuz this is their their their day of celebration [Music] wow it’s uh dry up here in the summer well it’s actually winter in the United States it’s a dry season here yeah this is a tobacco coffee and sugarcane region it was a port i don’t know if the port’s still working like that and of course the a very important city for the Spanish Empire not so much anymore it actually looks like Andalucia very dry very dry one of the guys I met at that dance party his name was America literally and he told me he was in jail for 10 years for possessing the good old Mary Jane now I thought Camel Harris was strict on putting away the ptheads but 10 years for a little bit of Mary Jane from the countryside here in Trinidad jeez Kamla Harris is a saint compared to that all right then i think that does it we saw Sien Fuego in Tidad now tomorrow is going to be more of a challenge the transport as we move eastward is less and less and we’re going to have to travel like a local to get to our end point which is going to remain a secret for now so I hope you guys are learning liking these videos some of them are a little more slow than they were in La Havana if you guys want to support the guys from the lovely city of Trinidad look at the mountains in the background maybe they’re burning sugar cane at the end of the season here this country is so close to the United States yet so different and it’s emotional to travel here every day you feel something new but uh it was well worth it and we’re going to have a lot more to see so see you guys on the next video
Cuba is more than vintage cars and beach resorts. In this video, I travel across the island to expose the real Cuba — power outages, food shortages, and deep poverty. While Canadian and European tourists relax in government-run resorts, ordinary Cubans face daily hardship under a brutal dictatorship. This is the truth behind the “paradise”: a controlled tourism industry that hides the suffering of its people. Join me as I go beyond the tourist zones to show what life in Cuba is really like. Cuba travel, Cuban crisis, tourism truth, real Cuba — all in one video.

Adventure Elliot is a bilingual travel vlogger (English and Spanish) with a particular interest in the Spanish speaking world. I enjoy taking adventures – big or small – and my goal is to show the Spanish speaking world 1 video at a time.
The goal of my channel is simple yet complex: I want to document and share authentic & educational content of anything related to Adventure Travel, Geography, & Language in the Spanish-speaking world. It’s kind of a loaded topic, but it allows me to never exhaust my creative outlets. The truth is, I’ve always been extremely passionate about what I’m doing on my channel, but I never properly documented it when I started adventuring as a younger man in my college years. I’ve made over 150 Youtube videos in both English and Spanish, and I have aspirations to make 1000s more. If that sounds interesting to you, join the community and follow me along the way.. After all, we’re just getting started.

Propaganda cha cha cha Propaganda cha cha cha US Agents back at it again.
Now we have American politicians telling us how great socialism is.
The people deserve better; join the modern world. You could be so prosperous.
Very nice video. Very cool. Good explanation about reality on the island. So good to see someone saying the truth about what happens there instead of blame on the US all their government's inefficiency.
Shit hole
Trump 2028!
Hay America do u want Socialism.Yes you guys in New York. This is what you are going to get u idiots
This is what New York going to look like u idiot people.Stupid people in New York if You vote Socialist.Notheing is free
This is Socialism where electricity keep going out you Americans who wants Socialism.
Wow
Hey Adventure Elliot GFY …….Cubans are wonderful people …………….the principal reason their country is and has been struggling is due to the F-nin US treatment of the country ……why don't you go home Yankee — they kicked you out back in the early 60's …………….your Empire is crumbling leave Cuba alone
The suffering of the Cuban people is not so much the consequence of communism as it is the result of brutal American hegemony.
The United States embargo against Cuba is an embargo preventing U.S. businesses and citizens from conducting trade or commerce with Cuban interests since 1960
Trumps tariffs are creating havoc in world economies and have only just started.
They are nothing compared to the 63 yrs of oppression from usa over . cuba. Pure ignorance not to recognise this.
WTF……this country sucks no more than another relatively poor nation. There is music, dancing. The electricity problem is all you really identify as persistent. (I live in La Paz, Baja…the electricity has gone out 4 times this week, common during Summer). You seem so well educated in culture and history, I dont get why you demonize this country that clearly welcomes you and you feel safe in? I must assume the infrastructure issues you are focused on are largely a result of the US dominated history ranging from Bautista to decades of economic boycott…. I would go to Cuba without reservations…
I'd like to see Cuba have a democratic society. Free from socialism, free from dictorship. If they could somehow get on the right path and remove the current government, then the U.S. would be a good neighbor. The corrupt Cuban government is why many people in that country are impoverished. This is what happens when a have a full socialistic govenment without checks and balances. Unfortanately, they have the goverment that Castro created for them. That is his legacy.
They seem like such sweet people demoralised by a horrible government and ideology.
“You can thank the embargoes” because the people and medical care are 😘💯 The US government is evil.
Communism’s nirvana
I just stumbled on your channel because I was randomly curious about life in Cuba. You seem like a really good dude, I'm subscribed now and along for the ride.
ever wonder if usa making people everywhere live in poverty or kiss our boot?
And of course, the great United States of America has absolutely nothing to do with the horrible conditions that exist in the country. I agree that Americans should never travel to Cuba. They would do nothing but ruin and destroy a wonderful people.
Cuba should become a United States protectorate to restore prosperity.
Amerikkka has fucked Cuba with sanctions
WOW, you have presented such a viewable and educational experience. Stay at it. It took more than Castro to do this. The USA can and must accept a huge share of the blame all in the name of Florida's 27 electoral Votes. This is a crime without a name.
Cuba nice people natural best you fuck you asol
Canada worse become Muslim state
I don’t get it. With the commentators. Cuba is suffering because the u.s. has a blockade on the island. And the rich Cuban Americans make sure that the Cubans in Cuba stay like that, that they suffer and starve. U.S. Mexicans don’t think like that. Cubans voted for Trump just to make sure that their brothers in Cuba continue to suffer. Obama tried to fix that but the rich, fat Cubans helped to vote him out of office. Cubans in America are weird. U.S. Mexicans don’t get it!
Man, socialism works great. Tell every Bernie Sanders voter.
La mafia estuvo con Fulgencio Batista y continuó sin prosperar con Fidel y sus descendientes.
The mafia was during Batista era, and it continied with the Fidel Castro and his damned descendants!
Fucking Americans throwing their cash around…nobody likes you gringo! Nowhere in the world. At least Cuba hasn’t poisoned their land, water and air with the greed of capitalism!
They are lost and forgotten, but finally it´s their government and the US. 60 years of sanctions have destroyed all possibilities for the Cuban people.
It looks like Berlin in 1946!
I really appreciate you, white man from the US, for judging people all over the world on YouTube. Twenty days in Cuba and you think you know it all. I’ve spent years there and still don’t know half of it. Americans/ the masters of the world.😂
Vietnam Cuba 🇻🇳 🇨🇺 . We will do everything to help the Cuban people
The Cuban government can change their country overnight. It's their decision and it's all their fault. Whether Americans go there or not has NOTHING to do with their situation. THE GOVERNMENT is responsible for the way it is.
3rd world people cannot create 1st world countries, nor maintain them.
This is how Leftist's, democrats, Liberals vote.
Lots of bad teeth — malnutrition, rampant alcoholism. Vote Conservative or you'll be next.
I dated a Venezuelan with the last name Castro tf?
THIS IS AN EYE OPENER ON A MICRO LEVEL OF WHAT THE ZIONISTS ARE PLANNING ALL OVER …watch EUROPA: THE LAST BATTLE particularly the chapter on "Displacement" chapter 13? 14? 100%
Gracias poe este magnifico video, thanks guys, merci.
It looks like everything still belongs to Fidel.
I enjoyed your video so much! Read a great book about the Bacardi family and their beginnings in the 1800s
NY will be Cuba after they vote in Hamdami or whatever his name is.
This is what communism looks like. Hey NY.
No. Fidel Castro decimated his own country. Outlawing Christianity proves he is of the devil. Creating pacts with the dark one, the results are never good.
Love Love your video and I love your sensitive heart . It is very sad and depressing to see some parts of world is suffering.
