生食級干貝海鮮丼吃到飽!顛覆你想像的冬季北海道渡假首選!函館最強一泊二食飯店, CP值爆表!
When it comes to vacation, what most people first think of is probably sunshine, beaches, pools, and a lavish hotel breakfast. But this time, I had a bold idea, stemming from my visit to Hakodate during the off-season. There are no golden beaches here, but there’s a magnificent rocky coast that lets you enjoy the sea view from a different perspective. There are no swimming pools for the scorching summer; instead, you get to soak in a steaming, therapeutic hot spring on a chilly day. For me, Hakodate has become the top choice for a winter vacation. A triple room for over NT$4,000 a night, sashimi-grade seafood buffets for breakfast and dinner, plus many free and beautiful attractions, allow the whole family to have a great time. These are experiences that Southeast Asian vacation spots can’t offer you. Perhaps it’s hard for you to imagine this feeling right now, but why not follow along with this episode and see off-season Hakodate through my eyes. We’re now at Hakodate Park. This park is packed with facilities. There’s a small zoo, a children’s amusement park, and regular park playground equipment. As for the children’s amusement park, it seems to require a small admission fee, around 300-something or 300 yen. The whole park has a very Showa-era feel, much like our old Taipei Children’s Amusement Park. Actually, the entire city of Hakodate, when we arrived last night, we felt it has a very retro charm. Because there are still trams running on the streets, and the signs, the whole color scheme, are very Showa-style. In fact, many signs you see on the street will say something like “Showa something,” “Showa something.” It’s just like that. And I think what’s impressive about this park is that you can actually view cherry blossoms here. But right now, they’re just buds, not yet open. Just about to bloom. Alright, let’s go have a look inside. Japan’s public facilities like this are so generous. Like, as soon as we came in, we can see quite a few animals. Raccoons, mini horses, rabbits… This part doesn’t even have an admission fee. You just walk in like you’re entering a park. This sign introduces how chickens crow in different countries. That sounds strange. It’s quite interesting. Like, for China, which we’re familiar with, it says it’s called “gu-gu-gei.” Is it “gu-gu-gei” in China? Is that how you say it? The Japanese phonetics here say “ko-ke-i.” So if you translate it, is that what we call “gu-gu-gei”? Two ponies, so cute. Their tails are even tied with ribbons. Literal ponytails. Their hair is so smooth. Even though you were born in the year of the horse, your hair is not this smooth. You… The sign says this chicken is a Silkie. So Silkie chickens are white. So you have to pluck all its feathers to see the inside to know it’s a Silkie. This is the first time I’ve known that Silkie chickens are white. And its feathers are so smooth. Smoother than yours… no. The value for money here is infinite. Because it’s free. You can see this. And their facilities are made to be quite interesting. They intentionally put a table and chair inside for this goat to jump on. Aren’t they afraid it’ll jump out? This way, it will climb up, and everyone gets a good show. No, it’s to simulate a rocky cliff for it to climb on. Coming here, I suddenly feel like I’m back at the old Yuanshan Children’s Amusement Park. But the amusement park here has an even older, more vintage feel. And the whole retro vibe is very strong. Like many of its rides, chairs, carousels, and so on, they don’t have that plastic feel, but rather a wooden, handmade feel. Showa-style. That’s right, those two words are enough. We can imagine what it’ll look like when the cherry blossoms are in bloom here. Adults bringing their kids to play, and having a picnic under the cherry blossom trees. That would be so pleasant. Both adults and children would be very happy. The rides here look relatively gentle, suitable for young children to play on. And I think Japan does a great job of catering to different age groups. Kids are kids, teenagers are teenagers. Their needs are different. The payment method is also very similar to our old children’s amusement park. If you want to go on a ride, you have to buy tickets. One ticket is 350 yen. You can also buy eight at once, or just buy an all-you-can-ride pass. I don’t think they have an all-you-can-ride pass here. Oh, they do. A one-day pass is 2,800 yen. The age limit is two years and older. Both children and accompanying adults are charged. And for children under two, I don’t think it’s suitable for them to ride anyway. Fun. Not bad. You can play with these things without an entrance fee. Yeah, it’s really so generous. Play for free. It needs a ticket. And the ticket is for a single use. Don’t you have many of these toys at home? Yes. But it’s more fun here. Well, that’s not wrong. Let me tell you, eating a sandwich under a cherry blossom tree today is just different from eating it at home. I guess you’re right. Need the other hand? No, there’s another hole on the other side. Can you feel what it is? You should be able to. Your sister figured it out. Yes. What is it? What, what? Potato. I felt its head. Potato. Arigatou gozaimasu. Thank you. Wow, this kid is really happy. We’re now on the southeast side of Mount Hakodate, at a place called Cape Tachimachi. It’s a cape that juts out into the Tsugaru Strait. Actually, here, if the weather is extremely good, you can see Aomori Prefecture on the other side. Apparently, today’s weather is just not good enough. The weather is great, but it’s a bit foggy in the distance. Right, so we can’t see it. But on the other side, you can get a full view of the entire bay’s scenery, which is very beautiful. The terrain has a bit of a columnar jointing look. A columnar jointing feel. Actually, the whole vibe is quite similar to our northern coast in Taiwan. It’s actually in this direction. Aomori is over there. The weather is good enough today, but unfortunately, it’s a bit too foggy, so we can’t see any land at all. You can see many squid symbols around here. That’s a specialty of this place. For instance, in this sea area, on summer and autumn nights, there will be many squid fishing boats active here. And like one of the dishes we had this morning, it’s rice stuffed inside a squid. Actually, at night markets, we’ve probably seen many things like this already. I didn’t expect that, it probably started in Japan first. I don’t know if this morning’s was squid or… or cuttlefish. It should be cuttlefish. When I first got out of the car and saw this view, I was thinking about one thing. Do people start pondering life and then start looking at the scenery, or is it that when you see the scenery here, you start wanting to ponder life? This place actually has strategic significance. Because in the past, people would come here to observe if there were any enemy ships invading. Because in this sea area, if there’s any activity on the sea, you can see it all clearly from up here. And also because of its beautiful scenery, many works of art have been left behind. Like there are many famous poems here. I even checked, and there’s a song titled “Cape Tachimachi.” Because that song sounds very much like an older Taiwanese folk song. A ballad style. Will I get a copyright strike? No, no, I didn’t sing it well. O-genki desu ka? You’re doing “O-genki desu ka” again? Yes, exactly. That’s too much. It’s a useful phrase. We’re now near Hachimanzaka Slope. There are many Japanese-Western style buildings here, many small coffee shops. The whole area has a very Showa-era feel. And then, we see a rather large church over here, which indicates that in the past, there was probably a significant influx of Western culture here. Do you know what “Showa-era feel” makes me think of? What? Pudding. Because when I see shops like this, I imagine they must have a lot of delicious pudding inside. If they sell Uni-President pudding inside, would you eat it? They wouldn’t sell Uni-President pudding. Why would you think that? Hey, now that you mention Uni-President pudding, I think it has a taste that is irreplaceable in my heart. This street is so beautiful. How wonderful it would be to live here. Churches everywhere, it feels so pretty, right? We see this and think that, but where we live in Tamsui is also like this. Oh, yeah. So right now we’re just experiencing what it feels like for people to visit Tamsui, you know? But I think it’s not just the churches that are beautiful. All the little houses have so much character. This really feels like Tamsui. Yeah, Western-style, churches, and then Japanese-style like this. Then why don’t you just stay in Tamsui and not go out? I love Tamsui too. I’m just experiencing a different kind of Tamsui. Slightly different. I think this is very interesting. It feels like walking on a runway. This is Hachimanzaka Slope. Many people love to take photos here. But actually, I think taking photos at this spot is a little bit dangerous. Because it’s an uphill slope, and when cars come up, you feel like the car is heading straight for you. If it really couldn’t brake in time, it might actually hit you. This road is very straight and leads to the harbor. So from the end of this street, you can capture the sea view, which is very beautiful with the streets on both sides. This is basically a must-visit place for everyone in Hakodate. We were originally going to see the million-dollar night view, but we wanted to drive up, and we couldn’t. Right, and we don’t want to take the ropeway either. You probably don’t want to either, right? Yeah, I’m not that interested in ropeways. I think experiencing it once is enough. I’ve experienced it. This street has a bit of a Studio Ghibli art style. So we stop to take photos every few steps. It took us a very long time to walk just a short distance. And this Hachimanzaka Slope, is actually named after the nearby Hachiman Shrine. And “saka” means slope. So whenever we see a place with a slope, it’s called something-something-zaka. We’ve now arrived at the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse complex. This was Hakodate’s first commercial warehouse, witnessing a period of prosperous maritime trade here. Actually, in the past, it was once destroyed by a major fire. What we see now is its rebuilt appearance. And this place, is now a very popular tourist destination. Because there are about fifty shops here, selling all sorts of souvenirs and gifts. Many of the beloved Hokkaido souvenirs, for example, Rokkatei, Shiroi Koibito, you can find them all here. We’re going to browse inside the warehouse now. I was drawn in by this slogan. It sounds pretty funny if you read it in Taiwanese. “Completely flawless.” Flawless or lacking? What’s it lacking? And it says these chopsticks are very versatile. So I wanted to give them a try. They provide black beans here for you to practice picking up. But when I tried, I just couldn’t pick any up. Is it a counter-indicator for me? Oh, got it, got it, I can do it. Compared to the warehouse complexes in Taiwan, they actually look quite similar, more or less the same. Their function now is also pretty much the same. Like Pier-2 Art Center, Huashan 1914 Creative Park, and so on. Wow, there are all sorts of shiny things here. They don’t look like cheaply made souvenirs. I actually think it’s quite worth browsing. What do you think? Is it a good place to shop? Excellent for shopping, and I think the prices are okay. Let’s see your haul. I bought a double-clasp coin purse. You can put coins inside here. And I chose a more subdued pattern. Although it looks like a grandma’s pattern, it’s more timeless. Yesterday we ate at a branch of Lucky Pierrot. Its main store is in that direction. And this Lucky Pierrot behind me, it boasts that you can see the ocean view. And they’ve created a… a cruise ship feel here. I think this Lucky Pierrot has a really great feel. This wasn’t here when I came before. There was only the old one, and back then, Lucky Pierrot didn’t seem to have many branches. Just a few, not as many as now. There are many warehouses here. Basically, it’s divided into four areas. And inside are all souvenir shops, stores, and so on. We really can’t film and talk about everything, so we’ll leave it for you to explore slowly. It’s great for shopping. I think if you haven’t been, you should really come and see. Turn it off, I’m going shopping. There’s a Lego store. It not only sells Lego products, but also lets kids play for free inside. You just need to register here. So basically, we can take turns looking after the kids here, and the others can go shopping. You mean Dad watches them, and… Pretty much. Grandpa and Grandma watch them, and we go shopping. Is it fun here? Fun. What’s fun about it? You can just… you can find your own Lego pieces and build something. Wow, there are so many things you can build, right? Mmm. Would you want to come again? Mmm. Goryokaku Fort Ruins. Hey, let me tell you, this is Hokkaido’s only Special National Historic Site. That’s right, this is a Western-style fortress. And actually, this place, many tourists come here, so it’s very famous. And I didn’t realize that it was originally a defensive facility. And the most famous thing is that we can look down from this tower. Looking down, in winter, when it’s covered in snow, you’ll see the outline of a white star. And when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, you get the outline of a pink star. It’s very beautiful. Actually, I’ve been to that tower twice. The first time I was very young. When I went again as an adult, I thought, “Hey, what’s the difference between this and the Beitou Incinerator?” Right, and because I didn’t come during a very proper season, I mean, the season when it’s supposed to be beautiful. But I probably wouldn’t want to go up again. You’ve seen it, would you want to go up again? Because I think it’s not the right time. You have to come when it’s either white or pink for it to be especially beautiful. See this corner? This is one of the five points of Goryokaku. It’s surrounded by cherry blossom trees. They are actually in bud right now. And in about another two weeks, they should start to bloom. Imagine, full of cherry blossom trees. So when they are in full bloom, it must be an incredibly beautiful sight. Walking along the moat below is also very beautiful. And here, there’s a familiar feeling. Because all along the way, we haven’t heard many Taiwanese accents, but here, we hear a lot of them. A very familiar feeling. Even in Tamsui, you’d feel like you’re abroad because you’re surrounded by Koreans. I’ve always looked down from above. This time, it’s my turn to look up from below. Go higher. This is the best I can do. Whispering sweet nothings. Does this count as peeping? Hey, isn’t it the same when they look down? How strange. As we continue walking into the fort, we reach the Magistrate’s Office. And when I just walked to this open space, I thought it was super beautiful here. Because in the background, you can see the snowy mountains, and the pine trees beside it, along with the adjacent building, wow, they form a very beautiful picture. And this Hakodate Magistrate’s Office, it was actually the former government office of the Edo Shogunate. And inside now, they have some recreations of the interior rooms, and also the history of Goryokaku. And it’s about to rain now, so we should leave soon. Right, so we won’t go in for now. If you have the time, let us know if it’s fun inside. We’re now at the Hakodate Tropical Botanical Garden. As people from a warmer place, of course, we’re not here to see these tropical plants. There’s a big attraction here, which is watching monkeys bathe in hot springs. Let’s go take a quick look. Yeah, sounds very interesting. So fun watching monkeys bathe. And I just noticed that some of them, for some reason, don’t have much fur on their bodies, and they look quite similar to us humans. Wow, so cool. And they help each other pick lice and stuff, it looks like they’re giving the boss a massage. This feels a lot like our family. Like how our son messes with his sister every day. Wow, they look so relaxed. Look at its expression. It looks like they’re washing someone’s hair and chatting with them. Actually, it’s not available all year round. You can’t always see the monkeys in the hot springs. Because they say that around April, during the season when baby monkeys are born, they will close this for public viewing. This is because many accidents have happened in the past. When a mother monkey was bathing in the hot spring holding her baby, she ended up drowning the baby monkey. So they will temporarily suspend this activity. So if you come in and you’re not sure if there are monkeys, you can ask the ticket staff at the entrance. It’s raining outside now, so let’s quickly get inside. And this is actually the main body of the tropical botanical garden. There’s a greenhouse here. But I feel the temperature in the greenhouse isn’t as high as I expected. It’s only about 20 degrees Celsius right now. Let me tell you, if it’s raining, you can actually come in for a visit. Because the admission fee doesn’t seem to be expensive, right? Right, the adult ticket was 300 yen per person. And it’s definitely cheaper for children. It’s 100 for kids. For us, this place might seem a bit boring. Because for us, these plants are very common and not that special. But for them, perhaps, they are really quite rare things. It’s like when we see here, wow, it feels like it’s all Christmas trees. But they see them every day. We’re staying in Yunokawa, Hakodate today. And this hotel is called Hotel Banso. Here, we booked a plan with one night’s stay and two meals. The dinner and breakfast buffets are both amazing. And the hot springs are said to be amazing too. Right. Okay, as for the price, we’ll tell you all about it tomorrow after breakfast. I also think it’s quite a good deal. There’s a great little souvenir shop here too. This is their hot spring area. It looks great too. We’re staying in room 504 tonight. As you open the door, there’s a large entryway. And like all Japanese-style rooms, it actually has several doors. So we need to go further in to see what it’s like inside. I think it feels very new inside so far. The space for the bathroom is very precisely allocated. Although it’s small, it looks very exquisite. And the sink, the amenities, are arranged in a way that makes you feel very comfortable. And coming in, there’s a hidden separate wet and dry shower room. There’s no bathtub, because the public bath here is already fantastic. Placing the toilet and bathroom next to the entryway is less likely to disturb people who are sleeping. I think this is a pretty good feature. We booked a triple room today. There are two 110cm single beds. It should be quite easy to push them together. And they will also lay out another one for us, a single person tatami mat. The headboard has two sets of USB ports and outlets each. And the light switches are also on the headboard. Plus, there’s a shelf on top for putting things. I think it’s a relatively thoughtful design. The closet space is ample. And inside here, there’s a safe. They have already put the yukata and the amenities you need in here. And it’s even opened up, so you can see it at a glance, to know that the things are here. It’s quite thoughtful. And I think the money I’ve spent so far is well worth it. The amenities are quite impressive. This is complimentary. It should be sparkling water. Yes, and there are small cookies too. The TV is a SONY. And you can even watch Netflix. Turns out there’s a small balcony behind. But since the weather is so cold, this balcony space probably won’t be used for now. From what I can see so far, this room, among all the hot spring hotels we’ve stayed at, the space is considered not large. Because usually, after this door is pulled open, the balcony outside can be used. But this one can’t, so the space feels a little smaller. But it’s the prettiest one. I think its value for money is quite high so far. Just based on the room. Let me show everyone Grandma’s room. Because I booked two triple rooms, so for them, I booked one with a sofa bed. And the beds are pushed together, it’s about like this. The rest is basically the same. It’s just that this room is a little smaller. The entryway in this room is also smaller. And its bathroom and toilet are separate. This over here is its bathroom. And this is its toilet. This is our dinner tonight. This buffet is just too lavish. It’s really amazing. But I originally thought there would be crab legs, but there aren’t. I think it might be related to the season. That’s right, but the variety of sashimi is huge, and they all look great. I’ll try some in a bit and let you all know. And I heard the steak is also amazing. That’s right, I’m going to eat my steak now. Let everyone see your steak. It looks very rich in fat. And I was just thinking that this plate of mine should be some kind of beef. Then I thought, hey, wait. It’s Genghis Khan, which is lamb. Finally, there’s meat I can eat. And the sashimi is also very impressive. Okay, we’ll eat a bit and then tell you how it is. I have to ask you the usual question. Is this as delicious as the Regent afternoon tea? It has that kind of feel. The fat is very evenly distributed and rich. Basically, there’s no resistance. So delicious. This is fried scallop. Oh my god, I thought it was some kind of fried chicken nugget. It should be a real scallop, right? I guess so. The fried scallops we eat in Taiwan are probably processed. But here, this is basically a city with a surplus of scallops. It would be pretty hard to find fake ones, right? True. They also have grilled scallops. But I think they grilled them too dry. A bit of a waste. They have too many scallops. They don’t care if a few get dried out, okay? I’ve actually seen that sometimes when they see scallops, they really have a look of disgust. “This again.” Yes, but… if you see someone who likes them, they’re probably from somewhere else, like from Tokyo or something. This is delicious, hurry up and eat it, wow. It comes out with just one pull. Yeah, really, to have this in Taiwan, I think it’s not very easy. And such a big one.

Very fresh, right? Wow. I’m in a state where I’m not supposed to talk right now. Because if I’m not careful, it will slide down my throat. Be careful when eating this. It’s still a little bit translucent. This is real sashimi. I really love this. I know sweet shrimp is a common thing here, but it’s really fresh and delicious. Compared to what we had at the fish market the other day, it’s really not inferior at all. I know it’s silly to grab nigiri sushi, but… Wow. The scallop is… The scallop is great. Here, for them, it might be a “nuisance facility” or something. You can order salt-based ramen made to order here. Hey, I never knew you could eat so much. Now you know. Wow, you’re really amazing. I got you a salt-based ramen. Oh. Let me tell you, the first time I had salt-based ramen in Hakodate, my feeling was, “Hey, isn’t this ‘vegetable ramen’?” Try it, does it taste like Qie-zai noodles? But the noodles are slightly different. Maybe these are a bit chewier. Ramen noodles, you know. Try the broth first. It feels even more like Qie-zai noodles. Does it feel like Qie-zai noodles? The salt-based ramen I had was called Jiyoken. This… this broth, its black pepper flavor is quite strong. It’s quite like Qie-zai noodles, and you added a lot of white pepper. Yes, I just added that. Oh, it was you. Now does the soup base taste like “vegetable ramen”? Yes, yes, quite similar. You just told me to get this. Yes. This tempura is just too amazing. The name on the sign just said “plum something.” And then, but it looks so much like fish. And after I took a bite, wow. Let me show everyone. This is what I’m going to eat. There’s a strong plum flavor inside, enveloping yam. This is a tempura you’ve never had before. It’s so amazing. And that other one. As for this one, it’s a whole bamboo shoot tip. And it’s just the flavor of the natural ingredient. Everyone can imagine, very sweet. That whole section seems to be quite impressive. The beef, and… Genghis Khan, and also the grilled scallops and so on. That section is where the good stuff is. They’ve actually concentrated the best parts in that section. Here’s the crab leg soup for you. Hope you have a good “crab leg” sleep (pun on “shuìjiàojiào”). Wow, you’re already eating dessert. Yes, this is the recommended way to eat it here. Add milk soft-serve ice cream on top of the pudding. I thought you went crazy and added it yourself. Turns out it’s their recommendation. I saw someone else with it over there, and I thought, “How creative!” Then I saw a sign over there telling us we can do it like this. Well, I’m going to eat the pudding straight later. I originally thought that wouldn’t taste good. You should probably not eat it like that. This milk soft-serve is so delicious. The milky flavor is very rich, and it has a hint of saltiness. I especially like things like this. So what’s it like when you eat them together? Mmm. Wow, I can’t do this. I have to eat them separately. Eating them separately is better, right? The flavors are just a bit too similar. We’ve finally finished eating. I’ve now come to its hot spring lounge to rest. I’m so full. What if I fall asleep here later? Hey, for this dinner, if it were in Taiwan, how much would you be willing to pay to eat it? Around NT$800 something. Me too, around NT$800-900. I think it’s worth that. I love staying at these hot spring hotels with two meals in Japan. Because you can soak in the hot spring, and after showering, you can dress comfortably, put on slippers and go out for dinner. And as for me, why am I wearing a yukata? First of all, I’m afraid I’ll be too full later, and my stomach will feel very tight. And also, it’s… I don’t have to worry about getting my clothes dirty or anything. Of course, I’ll still be very careful. Now I think its raw and cooked food are both consistently high in score. And the temperature control is done very well. As for the variety, I think it’s also sufficient. Everything is very delicious. So for this hotel, so far, I highly recommend the dinner. We’ll talk about breakfast tomorrow. We’ll talk after we’ve had breakfast. Wow, they even have unlimited grape juice in their lounge. We’re here for breakfast. And the breakfast is very lavish. The ingredients are basically the same as what we saw last night. But they use the same ingredients to create different dishes. And you’ll feel like, wow, they’re being very generous. Yeah, I think the most impressive thing is that, originally, the scallops were in sushi. Now in the morning, they let you just take them. So I suddenly want to eat them again. Because I was originally thinking, wow, after eating like that last night, can I really eat like this first thing in the morning? Let me tell you, when I was brushing my teeth just now, I was also secretly thinking, “Mmm, I’m not going to eat sashimi this morning.” But I still ended up getting a full plate. It’s okay, let me show everyone. I really didn’t get any sashimi. I got all sorts of other things. Yeah, I think, wow, these scallops feel so gratifying. And the crab meat and all. Yesterday we were wondering why we didn’t have the most basic things for dinner. Turns out they were saved for variation. No, it’s that if they let you eat it for both meals, it would really be too much. Also, they have these burgers and sandwiches, and I just think, wow, the whole bread section has become so much richer. Otherwise, we probably wouldn’t have even taken any bread. Basically, it’s a specialty. Like that bread, they probably thought, “Hey, let’s make something like a Lucky Pierrot burger.” A smaller version of a burger. Also, there’s some Hokkaido curry here, but since it has beef in it, I didn’t get any. That’s right, but I saw many people getting it. It must be very famous. It’s called Gotoken or something. Okay, the other parts should be about the same. We’ll eat a bit and then tell you the price, and how it tasted. Sorry for the food porn. This is my… breakfast, oh. My Katte-don (DIY seafood bowl). You must think I’m over the top. Wow, you’re showing off your food too? This bowl, would it sell for NT$500? I think their sashimi and these items, the quality is better than some places that sell it outside. After eating all this these past few days, I still think this hotel’s breakfast is the best. That’s right. And the quality of its sashimi I think is the best. The highest standard. Yeah, I really think it’s on par with the kind you order bowl by bowl outside. The quality. But I think there’s one downside. Their breakfast seating is staggered. And we are in the 8:00 AM slot. But they actually told us that the restaurant closes at 9:00 AM. Such a wonderful environment, and I just feel there’s not quite enough time to eat breakfast. But their breakfast is really great. My dad just took a ton of food. Watching him eat… It’s amazing. He took such a lavish amount. Grandma and Dad. Doesn’t my dad look like he’s doing a competitive eating challenge or something? Let me tell you, and many of the plates have already been cleared away. He’s so impressive. Wow, back to my scallop bowl. It’s so awesome. The price for this one-night stay is 21,500 yen. Which is about NT

4,300) And I think its breakfast and dinner lineups are both very impressive. The sashimi-grade scallops at breakfast are even of a higher quality than imagined. Yes, I think those scallops were very delicious and tender. And we actually booked triple rooms, so that’s actually the price for three people. So I think it’s a very good deal. Yeah, for your reference. The breakfast and dinner are fantastic. And the accommodation and hot springs are particularly exquisite. For your reference. We’re now at a Hokkaido Prefectural Park. This is the Donan Shiki no Mori Park. And the facilities at these Prefectural Parks are very comprehensive. It’s funny, when the kids hear “Dōritsu Park,” they think it means “handstand” park. Okay, so, this is the… I don’t know, fifth or sixth Prefectural Park we’ve collected. And like the one we collected yesterday, Uchiura Bay Park, is the same. And it has a major feature, which is that its playground equipment is always very impressive. Look at this. Yeah, and this one seems to be the only one we’ve encountered that doesn’t have an indoor area. Prefectural Parks have a major characteristic in their design, which is that the scenery is always very beautiful. Because when they design parks, they always consider all age groups. They don’t build such facilities for just a single age group. Looking at this place, it must be amazing during the fall foliage season. And when we were driving in just now, we actually saw quite a few cherry blossom trees. And I’ve also seen in photos that many people come here for cherry blossom viewing. I think if you come two weeks later, around the end of April, you should be able to see cherry blossoms. The Japanese have many ways of enjoying flowers. Look, they can even have a barbecue there. They’ve already prepared the grill for you. It’s great. I actually quite like having a barbecue on the weekend, and the kids can play and then eat. That kind of feeling. You don’t have to think too much about where to go. Going to the park is a great leisure activity. Actually, we have similar places in Taiwan, but you have to pay for those grounds. And they’re pretty bad. So we stopped going. And I think Japan’s most distinctive feature is this cloud-like bouncing trampoline. Because I think Taiwan doesn’t have it. I don’t know why Taiwan doesn’t have this. Because this is so much fun. Even I feel so happy when I play on it. So happy. Yay! We’ve now arrived at Onuma Quasi-National Park. It’s located at the foot of Mount Komagatake. And Mount Komagatake is an active volcano. Recently, at the hotel, we’ve been drinking a lot of Mount Komagatake milk. The main thing to do in this place is to enjoy its island and lake scenery. Look, at this view. Taking a photo here is truly beautiful. Even if you’re not good at photography, you can still take incredibly beautiful photos. Because mainly its foreground, mid-ground, and background are all arranged for you. When you take a picture, it looks just like when we go to a hot spring, you know, the fake murals on the tiles behind the fake murals. It’s just as beautiful. Beautiful. It has a lake view in front, with trees and a small island in the middle, and a big mountain in the back. It’s really beautiful. The season we’re here now is its ugliest time. But in autumn, it’s a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves. Like this surrounding area, we can take a walk around. You can also rent a bicycle. And there’s even a tour boat you can take. You can enjoy the scenery on the lake. Let me tell you, that mountain behind and these small islands, everything will be a sheet of red. A fiery red, very beautiful. In autumn. Everyone can imagine if… hey, fiery red autumn, and under those trees, strolling in this marsh, what a blissful thing that would be. These sceneries also evoke certain feelings. Even people who usually don’t ponder life’s philosophy, can’t help but start thinking when they see this view. Actually, I was also thinking. I was thinking about whether to eat scallops or salmon roe this morning. So annoying. Salmon roe. This quasi-national park is huge. And inside, you can never finish wandering. And everywhere you go, there’s scenery. Look, I just look up here, wow, any random glance is a beautiful spot. I think it’s very much worth a visit. Especially in autumn and maybe late winter. Because in winter, too much snow makes it hard to walk. Just walk around. Everywhere is great for taking pictures. Look at me like this, oh. Wow, look, this is another beautiful view, right? Basically, it’s beautiful from every angle. However, the weather is really too cold now. I just want to get back to the car quickly. If I have the chance in autumn to come to Hokkaido, this is a spot I would want to visit again. There are lakes of all sizes here, and marshes. You just have to walk around and take pictures everywhere. You definitely won’t be disappointed, you must come. Alright, that’s it for this episode. This is my first time back in Hakodate after more than a decade. I used to wonder what was so fun about this somewhat old-fashioned city. But visiting again, now as a father, taking my children to these heartwarming and generous little attractions, and my parents could also find their favorite corners amidst the beautiful scenery. Taking a leisurely walk and enjoying the scenery during the day, returning to the hotel in the evening for a warm hot spring bath, and then walking into the restaurant to savor a lavish meal of raw seafood. At that moment, I finally understood that this is my favorite kind of vacation. Do you also like this way of vacationing? Thank you all for watching. See you in the next episode. The quasi-national park is huge.

Wow😮❤😊😋😘🥰😍👌👍🫰
