I don’t remember what it felt like to hit it, but I’m relieved that I got a hit. I want to hit more to help the team win,” he said with relief.
The future power hitter, who joined the team as the second pick in the 2021 draft from Chiba Gakugei High School, finally hit a home run in his 23rd professional at-bat. He played in 75 games in the second team, posting a batting average of .314, 16 Home Run, 51 RBI, and an astonishing OPS of .955. He led the league in both batting average and Home Run. Manager Shinjo also had high hopes for the 22-year-old, who is in his fourth year, saying, “Arizono-kun is in top form, isn’t he? His timing is great.”
