Scoot new flights to Tokyo, Okinawa & Chiang Rai
Although we’ve just celebrated Singapore’s 60th, it’s never too late to start ruminating about your year-end vacation plans, especially if you’ve got a penchant for budget-friendly trips abroad. That’s because low-cost carrier Scoot has just announced new flight routes to a couple of hotspots which you’ll want to take note of before you start plotting your ALs.
Scoot’s bracing for the travel bug to hit hard once December comes around, which is why they’ll be preparing for new direct flights to Tokyo, Okinawa, and Chiang Rai. Here’s all you need to know about them:

Scoot has just broken the news that they’ve released new flight routes to 3 popular destinations, namely Tokyo and Okinawa in Japan, as well as Thailand’s Chiang Rai, ahead of the year-end holidays. You can make bookings for these flights right now through the Scoot website, but they will progressively be taking off between December 2025 and March 2026.

As far as your travel plans this year are concerned, the earliest date you can board Scoot’s new Singapore-to-Okinawa flights will be from 15th December 2025 onwards, with one-way ticket prices floating around $190.

On the other hand, travellers planning to head to Chiang Rai via Scoot can do so starting New Year’s Day, 1st January 2026, and one-way prices start from just $128. As for the tourist magnet that is Tokyo, the flights on the budget airline begin on 1st March 2026, just in time for the March holidays, touching down in Haneda Airport for upwards of $190.

Apart from the launch of these new flight services, Scoot will also be ramping up the number of weekly flights across the board to cope with the demand for air travel during the holidays. To keep things brief, expect more flights to other hot travel destinations such as Bangkok, Ipoh, Chiang Mai, Tokyo, and Sapporo to roll out towards the tail end of 2025.
