IT’S HARD TO BE BEAUTIFUL IN JAPAN 🫠 #japan #tokyo #travel #shorts #beauty
It is very difficult to be beautiful in Japan. Subscribe and like. Japan has a very clear ideal of beauty and it is almost impossible to fit into it. It is pale, smooth skin without a single blemish, a small face, no imperfections. If even one thing does not match, then the appearance is simply ordinary. The standard does not allow for any diversity. Here being tan means immediately falling out of the aesthetic. In any weather, Japanese women apply SPF. And in the summer, they walk around with umbrellas, long sleeves, and hats. And in cosmetic stores, you will find only super light foundations. It is almost impossible to find a color that suits you if you are even slightly darker. But the requirements do not end there. Appearance alone is not enough. You also have to behave properly, namely be nice, quiet, not argue, and smile even if you don’t feel like it. If you speak loudly, actively defend something, or simply show your character, then this goes beyond the bounds of Japanese femininity.

I would already not fit into them with my acne
I don't need to be considered "beautiful." I do not seek outward validation. I do my own thing. I don't care for "beauty." I'm happy with just being me. 😊✌️
What about the men there?
Oh, just stop it. There are no requirements. Yes, people do try and look nice (just like anywhere else) but there is no striving for some goal.
You know it, gurl. I'm so beautiful that the world just bends to my will. We just gotta keep dealing with our beauty, no matter what the world says.
Many Asians do concentrate more on outward appearance than inner character…so much so that they'll pay thousands of dollars to have their eyelids sliced, their jaw bones shaved while their bad character goes unchecked. Fact.
They all look the same. why so much obsession over looks?
Western women could learn a few things from them behavior wise
Yikes
Oh man.. As a girl from New Jersey.. I would not fit in there well.

I never cared about fitting into a standard of beauty
There’s no need to try to fit in with these standards when you’re not Japanese! 😮 I’m a tall, blonde and blue eyed Swedish woman who tans in the Summer, show off my curves and have a strong personality. No problem in Europe! We have come so much further with women’s rights and equality, and it’s something to be proud of.
No. This is what media and magazines push,, not natives. Most people copy POP CULTURE which is manufactured. Before TV, people emulate kings / politicians who were pale and soft
