Described as “a premium label dedicated to horror and genre films,” Void Signal has launched in collaboration with Alliance Home Entertainment, Variety reports this morning. The idea is to bring genre films to digital and physical, “pushing the boundaries of genre storytelling.”
One of the first films on the Void Signal slate that caught our attention is titled Holy Mother, and it brings Audition and Tokyo Gore Police star Eihi Shiina back into the horror genre.
In fact, Holy Mother is directed by Tokyo Gore Police filmmaker Yoshihiro Nishimura!
Variety describes the film as “a gory showdown involving a silent trans woman fighting a brutal organization with chainsaws, lasers, and non-stop carnage.”
Void Signal will be releasing Holy Mother on October 21, 2025.
Yoshihiro Nishimura is known for his gory blasts of insanity including Tokyo Gore Police and Mutant Girls Squad, so we can expect that Holy Mother will be cut from the same cloth. Check out some sneak peek images above and down below and expect more on the film very soon.
“This isn’t just another label — it’s a beacon for fearless, original genre filmmaking,” a representative for Void Signal said in a statement to Variety this week. “Our goal is to connect audiences with truly standout horror and genre experiences that demand attention.”
