Aimee Brough won the prize in a free competition organised by Cheshire-based furniture retailer Arighi Bianchi.
The Tokyo trip includes return flights for two, airport transfers, five nights in a luxury hotel and a full-day group excursion to Mount Fuji and Hakone.
Ms Brough, a water management project manager, said: “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the message to say I’d won.
“I was at work at the time and asked everyone to check that I wasn’t seeing things.
“I’m absolutely blown away and so incredibly grateful to Arighi Bianchi for this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
“I’ve already started reading Abroad in Japan in preparation – this really is a dream come true.”
The trip has been valued at more than £6,000.

Arighi Bianchi CEO Sarah Bianchi said: “We’ve loved hearing Aimee’s reaction as our competition winner.
“The promotion was part of our ‘Postcards From’ destination-led campaign that includes in-store events and the launch of products from craftspeople from different parts of the world.
“Our Japan theme was extremely popular, and Aimee’s entry was picked at random from thousands of people from across the UK who took part in the giveaway.”
Arighi Bianchi is now running a new competition to win an overnight stay at The Reserve, within Chester Zoo’s new Heart of Africa immersive environment.
The giveaway is part of the store’s Postcards From South Africa campaign.
