Unsound festival has revealed the first set of names due to play the festival’s inaugural Osaka edition.

Revolving around the ‘WEB’ theme, which will also serve as the theme of 2025’s connected editions in Kraków and New York, Unsound Osaka will focus on Polish and Japanese artists with a mix of “headliners, legends and rising names”.

RP Boo and Polish drummer/musician Gary Gwadera, Australian A/V artist Robin Fox, FUJI|||||||||||TA & Ka Baird, Japanese experimentalist Keiji Haino, and a collaborative performance from Jim O’Rourke, Eiko Ishibashi and Piotr Kurek head up the first line-up announcement for the Japanese iteration of the Polish festival, taking place across the city between 5th and 7th September 2025.

These initial announcements cover the main programme at Creative Center Osaka, VS. — which also includes an outdoor stage — and the 1935-originating Ohtsuki Noh Theatre.

Check out the full first artist announcement below and stay in the loop over at the Unsound site.

Djrum, dBridge b2b gyrofield, and A Guy Called Gerald are among the artists playing Unsound Kraków 2025, which is happening between 7th-12th October.

Last year’s Unsound Kraków, which revolved around the theme of ‘noise’, featured live performances from Cystallmess, who premiered her show with Oxhy, ML Buch, Rafael Toral, Aïsha Devi & Slikback feat. Lord Spikeheart & bela, and upsammy & Valentina Magaletti.
