[Music] i think you’re so cute i want you to come have a drink at the party maybe we could go upstairs all right quick room tour i’m not going to show you me cuz I look musty and crusty but you walk in here’s our lovely front door we have actually a really big closet space to the right here which is really nice we have our bathroom it’s actually really spacious in here there’s the tub it has the same thing as our last hotel room where the tub kind of has this piece of glass the shower and then here we have the toilet we have this big fulllength mirror which is amazing and then walking in obviously we have the beds this room is actually so much more spacious than I was expecting cuz usually in Japan the rooms are really small we are staying at the Hotel Collective there’s the bar so there’s the coffee over here is our view so unfortunately it is quite a gloomy day but actually our view is not bad we can kind of see most of the city and then over there I don’t know if you can see is the ocean the room from this side and hopefully our suitcases come soon so we can freshen up all right you guys i have just taken a shower and taken off my base makeup only cuz I don’t have time to redo my eye makeup i feel so revived oh my god I actually just can’t stand the feeling of what it’s like after an airplane and now I feel so much better i’m going to just redo my base makeup really quickly and then we are going to head out and explore the city i think today’s a shopping day i already saw on the street a t-shirt store that I really want to go to i kind of collect t-shirts when I’m traveling or going to concerts just like I love to collect random shirts you guys the shirts in Okinawa are like beach themed San Rio character t-shirts i literally need to go and buy them right now i’m limiting myself to five t-shirts i can’t buy more than that unless I’m getting it as a gift and then we’re going to eat skewers good thing we’re going to have yaki to for dinner and we’re going to walk around and explore and it’s raining but it’s fine because we are in Okinawa yay i’ve already unpacked everything my same makeup bag though like I love this makeup bag how cute is it but the zipper I think has broken like it’s literally jammed i think it broke while being compressed in my suitcase which sucks because I love it so much i’ve been so obsessed with this House Labs foundation brush i love how big it is like do you see how it just blended out my makeup in like 1 second the foundation I just used is the Hera Silky Stay Longwear foundation this is SPF 20 and I used it in the shade vanilla power 28 concealer in the shade CC i bought this at the Sephora sale and I forgot how amazing this concealer is it seriously might be one of the best that I’ve ever used you guys Okinawa is so funny because when you’re driving through it it just feels like we are in a America themed theme park in Japan a lot of visitors go to their very famous A&W it’s like an American core fast food dining experience here rare Beauty Cream Contour i find it so much easier to use this stuff if you put on the back of your hand first i’ve been having so much fun vlogging this trip i feel like I’ve been doing a lot better of a job vlogging this trip than I have on like some of my other trips see I feel like this lighting makes me look so flawless that I can’t even see if my makeup is properly blended this is the blush I’ve been loving it’s from Day Sule ColourPop in the shade 08 for blush placement maybe because I’m under the influence of being in Asia but I love just having it in the center of my cheeks like this makes you look so youthful my under eyes crease really bad so I’ve been actually kind of trying to avoid setting that area with powder just like that all right setting everything in place with Huda Beauty’s Easy Bake Setting Spray i always get foundation in my hair you guys okay I think because my hair is so gross from the flight I’m going to do a slip back and then we are going to head out maybe I’ll do like a half slick updo the last time I did it I hated it on me but I love it on other people always a brush like this for slick backs see how smooth this just makes everything okay so that’s how we’re looking for extra security I’m just going to pop on my EmmyJ hair clip i’m going to get dressed and then we’re going to head out oh my gosh this komi oh my god you guys wait but I don’t know what the sizing is the shirt is around $32 Canadian [Music] guys i spent like $100 there um but I only got three tops i limited myself we have decided that we’re in the mood for Yakitori so we are currently walking to a place that has pretty good reviews well they have like a 4.9 with like 200 reviews so that’s pretty good it definitely feels a little bit like Hawaii but in a very like cutesy Japanese way i don’t usually drink but we are eating yakitori so I feel like drinking is the vibe time to celebrate our first night here in Okinawa so I got a high ball cheers also the prices like my highball was only 490 and the yakitori is only like 180 other place we were going to go to is closed so this is where we’re at [Music] wow there’s a store okay they specialize in cookies and snacks and salt so you happen to be able to buy these Yukisio soft ice cream with their cookie on it and they have this selection of salt that you can try on your ice cream i think they have citrus salt taco seasoning like a plum bonito salt they have matcha salt which I tried um they have testers but it’s like very interesting try putting the matcha salt on the ice cream and see how that tastes wow i’m going to try the citrus one too [Music] wow well you know what i’m into salty ice cream my sister was not rocking with me putting salt on this so she went to get her own we were going to share oh yeah I absolutely adore this wow [Music] look at the amount of snacks we just bought i don’t know what got into us i think it was the drinks that we had but we were feeling peckish when shopping and this is the result [Music] [Applause] [Music] good morning we are wearing our cute shirts i’m wearing my Hello Kitty one and show your shirt it’s so cute we’re on our way to pick up the car that we rented but actually it turns out that the rental place is like an hour away from here it is what it is today is the gloomy day of our trip everybody’s out with their umbrellas we are walking to the car rental should definitely get one of these we were trying to go to have noodles for lunch there’s a specialty dish here in Okinawa called the Okinawa Soba and we found a place called Ibun E I B U N and um there was a huge wait outside so we were like we we don’t want to dedicate half our day to waiting for this meal so we were like on our way to the next soa place but if you turn the corner they actually have like another sector of the store that’s pretty much completely empty and it’s just that you’re standing and eating instead of sitting and eating so I guess like people didn’t notice actually I didn’t even notice my sister walked by and like noticed the sign so yeah if you are in Okinawa you want to try these silver noodles and you don’t want to wait in line for the main store then turn the corner and come to the standing side and just eat standing this is what Kalista got what did you get Kalista i got sobba and it comes with a side of Okinawa rice and I had an egg okinawa rice okinawa sobba this is my soba wow that looks amazing you guys this soup is so good can I try yours [Music] that one’s really good too [Music] okay we got a crepe to share this is the strawberry with banana one and we opted for no ice cream just cuz ice cream’s a little heavy right now but I think we’ll be back for ice cream cuz they look really good you guys it is currently 3:45 we were supposed to pick up this car at 10:00 in the morning because I forgot to bring my international driver’s license wait on Cluke it doesn’t say that I need to bring it so I was like “Okay it’s fine.” But then we show up and he’s like “You need to bring it.” And it took us an hour to get here i was like “Fuck.” So then we had to go all the way back to our hotel and pick it up and then we were like all the way back to where we were staying so we like we might as well eat lunch cuz it was already like lunchtime by that time and then so we had lunch and chilled a little bit and then we went to the airport and they were supposed to pick us up at the airport and I was trying to call number but then it was the wrong area code on what so I couldn’t contact them to pick us up from the airport so we had to Uber here but it’s fine cuz we’re finally in the car at least today it’s like a gloomy shitty weather day so it doesn’t feel like we’re missing out too much oh those are her little cana they’re like one bite can we should eat that one it’s like spilling out but yeah we like ate so much food we had like noodles and then crepe and then we had coffee and now I’m like so full but I’m going to eat this canlay anyway how is it it’s so crunchy mhm it’s really hard traveling is like that you guys you just have to expect the unexpected and things are not always going to go smoothly but you just got to go with the flow go with the vibes and just appreciate that you’re even here in the first place and eat some good food okay so I am the driver of this trip and it’s my first time ever driving on the left side of the road so I’m clearly sitting here on the right side which feels so weird and I’m actually like kind of terrified i’m so scared right now so actually it’s a good thing that this car dealership is kind of in the middle of nowhere oh I can just like vibe it out first before I have to get on like a highway wish me luck oh my god you guys the signal light is on the right hand side and I’m so not used to it cuz usually it’s on the left at least Are you scared no okay guys i know you guys were all so worried about us but we made it their speed limits here are pretty slow like the fastest we went was like 80 km an hour my sister is now a working woman so she’s going to go back to Canada she has a real big girl job to go to and she needs to take an ID photo for it so we’re just at this ID photo booth that they have kind of all over Japan go two again shoot again button oh what okay go back to one two yeah two here’s how the ID photo turned out oh my god it looks so good we’re eating again shocker i’ve been craving Indian food and pizza and we happen to find a place that does Indian pizza oh my gosh how amazing does that look [Music] okay this one we want these i want this one i want this one okay [Music] oh my god oh my god oh no don’t turn off [Music] all right you guys we made it back to the American Village area because we didn’t really get to explore it under daytime conditions yesterday so we had to come back currently lunchtime it’s 12:16 and we are at a restaurant called Kona Coffee right very Hawaiian definitely I think a Hawaiian themed restaurant the menu looks really good there’s garlic shrimp local mochas our waitress is so sweet she’s one of my followers she said and then she sat us at this table with really nice lighting we’re right by the window which is amazing our drinks are here i got a hot macadamia latte and my sister got the latte with coffee jelly the food came and it looks so good look at this insane chicken tower guys these fries i claimed this fry i’m touching it right now let’s eat it [Music] that’s crazy the chicken is so moist tender the outside is super crispy the pancake is fluffy like everything is so good you guys this massive bite of local moco it’s got everything on it [Music] we’re at Blue Seal again which is the place where we got crepes yesterday but we noticed that they have a lot of ice cream flavors i think they’re mainly known for their ice creams actually so I decided that we are going to try the two flavors that I had my eyes on yesterday which are their two most popular flavors i think it’s the Okinawa salt cookie and the blue wave which I don’t know what the blue wave was meant to taste like but it’s blue and white and I always think that blue flavored foods look really yummy for some reason tasting the Okinawa salt cookie m wait it’s so good it’s very creamy kind of like vanilla let’s try the Blue Wave the Blue Wave tastes like calpus yeah it kind of has like a Japanese soda/minty taste that’s ramen [Music] guys we drove over to a second street to check it out and do some potential vintage shopping cuz we didn’t really do much of that in Osaka so I figured why not try here they actually have like a bunch of electronics if you’re a size 36 I’m jealous of you these are so cute all these shirts are colorcoded okay guys we are now in Parkco City Mall we didn’t buy anything at Second Street um there’s nothing really good but Park City I think is the biggest mall here the newest big mall here i guess it’s super busy and um I guess we’ll just do some shopping [Music] we’ve arrived to a place called the Sonaga Island which is known to be kind of like the Santorini of Okinawa mhm kind of late so it’s a little bit It’s getting cold yeah it’s a little bit chilly and the sun unfortunately is not giving golden hour cuz there’s clouds but nonetheless it is absolutely beautiful stunning yeah we’re going to go get garlic shrimp soon it’s getting really cold look it does kind of look like Santorini [Music] we ordered five pieces of garlic shrimp we really wanted the butter rice but it is sold out until 7:30 garlic shrimp is on a bed of veggies oh my god no good morning this is the outfit this morning we have a sweet potato making class but it’s a little bit far on the island it’s like a 1-hour drive and we’re running a little bit late so hopefully they don’t cancel our reservation or anything but we already paid for it so I think it’s okay oh yeah i was going to show you guys this parade where we put our car so it’s basically this big tower it’s this huge windowless tower and then it has two entrances here and there’s our car it’s like a big elevator for the car okay now we’ve kind of filled the train part so why do these six versus this class is very simplified cuz the dough is already made which is also nice because then saves us a lot of work they really aren’t here to give us the recipe but then filling so it’s sweet potato and we’re supposed to try and swirl on it [Music] we’re at another Hawaiian restaurant called the Hala Hoa i definitely didn’t say that right we’re going to order on the QR code i love when you can order on QR code it is just the most convenient thing ever all right this is our food we got these short ribs and the garlic shrimp this one is spicy and I think that one is the original sweet potato place we came back to the sweet potato making factory we picked up the tarts that we made cuz they’ve come fresh out the oven i’m so excited we are about to try them now and let me show you guys the view look how blue that water is it’s crazy and people are over there snorkeling they really do sound like butterflies this is what she looks like to be working in [Music] [Music] okay so Kalista booked a boat ride a sunset boat ride and we’ve just arrived to the docks all the boats are here and so now we’re just going to look for the boat it’s a private boat tour with just the two of us and the guy who owns the boat um my sister booked this boat ride on Airbnb very interesting and I asked you if you wanted to come wait are you supposed to put the Okay so we have these life jackets which are very interesting and apparently they activate when you get into water so they just like expand once you’re in the water we have a front row seat so we’re going to have the best view on the boat a little bit cloudier than ideal but the sun you can still see the sun there’s still going to be a sunset [Music] wow oh my god there’s our sunset [Music] i decided to get a pre-dinner dessert and it’s a big one i’ll be healthy when I get back to Canada i promise last time we didn’t get ice cream [Music] it’s so good our last meal we’re having thank you [Music] okay guys it is the end of our vlog but I have one more meal to share with you guys we are currently at the airport my sister thought her flight was at 11:00 this actually at 12:00 so we’re just here really early my flight is at 100 p.m and it’s currently like 10:00 yeah it’s like 10:30 we got one more of the pork tamago oniiri this is the same meal that we had right upon getting off of our flight on the first day in Okinawa literally waited so long in this line we also got a bowl of this beefy udot i feel like I’m going to end the vlog here it’s very noisy but thank you so much for watching oh wait we’re both wearing our little souvenir shirts i’m off to Taipei where are you going home vancouver yeah she has a long travel day ahead of her she’s going to Tokyo then Calgary then Vancouver so
