Japan: Industry Cautious Over High Ikura Prices Amid 36% Decrease in Hokkaido Fall Chum Forecast

The Hokkaido autumn salmon migration is predicted to be 11.41 million fish, a 36% decrease from last year. Based on average eye size in recent years, an unprecedented drop in catch volume of around 30,000 tons is expected.
