All right, guys. Welcome to a new video. We’re still here in the beautiful island of Okinawa, and we’re starting the vlog off today. Heading to Ahara Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches here in Japan. Let’s go check it out. Let’s go. Thank you. [Music] All right, let’s see if we can find a seat. All right, so we’re on the ferry now. Aharin Beach is actually not in mainland Okinawa. We have to take a 40-minute ferry to get to Tokashiki Island where the beach is located. So quite excited. Apparently the beach is beautiful with crystal clear waters. So let’s go check it out. [Music] Baby face. [Music] [Music] All right, around 45 to an hour later, we finally made it here. Tokashiki Island. Wow, it’s gorgeous out here. Check it out. [Music] So, we’re here now, Tokashiki Port. And I believe we have to take a 20-minut bus ride to Aharin Beach. And look, guys, we have Ba Toy Story Hotel. From Toy Story Hotel. Uh, we have chicken adobo. I’m just kidding. We actually just brought fruits. It’s going to be a beach day today. It’s time to relax. Hopefully, the sun comes out. It’s a little cloudy. [Music] [Music] [Music] We are walking to the beach now. This island is honestly so gorgeous. It’s so blue. We actually got to see how blue the water was from miles away because it’s just this vibrant pop of blue and the sun is even shining. Yeah, it looks like Gatorade water right now. I can’t wait to jump in. Let’s go. Damn, look at that water. Wow. All right, I’m actually going to see if I can rent an umbrella just in case the sun comes out cuz it is quite hot today. All right, so you guys can rent mask, fence, life jacket, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for 3,000 yen. Thank you. Can I just hold it like this? Yeah. Thank you very much. All right, let’s go. Got cold. [Music] Guys, I can’t believe I’m swimming in a tropical beach here in Japan. Like, when you think of Japan, you think of mega cities like Tokyo, Osaka. You don’t really think of, you know, a tropical beach paradise. But here we are. Literal like white beach, white sand, and turquoise water. Okinawa has my heart. It’s such a beautiful island. [Music] Fruits in Japan are honestly so good. All right, we’re going to explore this beach a little bit. [Music] All right. So, we’re at the very end of the beach now. Look at this big ass rock. Wa! Look at this. Wow. Man, this place is straight out of a movie. It’s gorgeous. Holy paradise. Oh man, this is nice. We don’t get to slow down like this very often, so we’re taking it all in right now. It’s paradise out here. So lately, Ann and I have been trying to be more intentional about moments like this where we can actually pause and breathe a little. If you’ve been following us on Instagram, then you know that we’ve been on a bit of a wellness journey lately. And honestly, it’s been kind of a heavy season for us. Between the fast pace of travel, some personal things we’ve been navigating, it’s been a lot lately. Something that’s been new for us, but surprisingly powerful is meditation. And we’ve been using Headspace to help guide that practice. Even just a few minutes a day has made such a difference. Whether it’s calming our thoughts before bed or starting the day with a clearer mindset. It’s not something we ever used to make time for, but now it’s one of those little habits we actually look forward to. Headspace makes it simple, even if you’re just starting. There are guided meditations for stress, sleep, focus, whatever you’re going through. And for us, it’s been one of those few things that actually helps us slow down, even when we’re constantly on the move. It’s also been a nice way to check in with ourselves individually and together. Take a moment to breathe deeply. Some days we’ll sit down and do a short session side by side. Other days, we’ll use it separately depending on what we need. But it’s become this small ritual that reconnects us both to ourselves and to each other. Anyway, we just wanted to share what’s been helping us lately. So, we’re going to get some pineapple, coconut, and some almond pistachio. [Music] Thank you very much. All right, time to relax once again. Ah. Nothing beats the ocean and nothing beats a Jet 2 holiday. [Music] All right, guys. So, we left Naja and drove 40 minutes and we’re here now at American Village. So, this is another popular attraction here in Okinawa. So, what it is is an American themed entertainment complex with shops, restaurants, and even a ferris wheel. So, let’s go explore. Let’s go. [Music] So, first impression of American Village. It’s very colorful here. Yeah. I almost feel like we’re at a Disney downtown or something because of all like the themed cafes, but it is very beautiful here. It’s also right beside the ocean. We’re actually currently at the boardwalk now and it’s gorgeous. Yeah, I feel like I’ve been transported like somewhere else. I don’t feel like I’m in Japan at all. Yeah, we’re in the USA, United States of Okinawa. actually [Music] [Applause] la. [Music] Look at how cute this is. I feel like I’m at a carnival. We’ve been having Blue Seal like every day that we’ve been here in Okinawa. Their ice cream is so good. But today, we decided to try out their banana split. And you get three choices of ice cream. So, I got the chocolate, the macadamia nut, and their most popular one, which is the Okinawa salt or something. All right, time to eat once again. All we do is eat here. I know. Wow, that’s so good. Wait, which ice cream is that? Or is that all whipped cream? Oh, this is the salt. Mhm. Wow, that’s good. Pretty good. This is a good call. I called it, [Music] man. There’s been like four jet fighters. We’re definitely in America. Another one. Bro, that’s actually crazy. You guys hear that? Look how close it is. Whoa. There’s two more over there. What the heck? All right. What’s happening? What’s going on here, guys? What’s going on? No, I think we’re near uh an American army base. That’s why. [Music] So, earlier I said there was a ferris wheel here. Apparently, it’s been gone since 2022. So, never mind. But they do have Red Lobster and Tony Romis, which I haven’t seen in a long time. Yeah, Tony Rome was like high school days for us. I know. What the heck? Tony Romis. That’s cool, though. [Music] [Music] All right. So, we see Gigo. You didn’t know it’s like an arcade with a bunch of claw machines. Jan’s favorite store. Yeah. So, we’re going to go there trying to win something. Let’s go. Or get scammed again. We’ll see. Yo, this gigo is huge. Babe, this arcade’s huge. Let’s get money. Time to spend some money and then give it to my boss. All right, win me something. Yo, this place is massive. All right, what do you want to play? Go. Wait, am I doing it? Yeah. Go. Oh my god. [Music] So, we’re walking back to the boardwalk now. A lot of people actually come here for the sunset, and the sun’s about to set right now, and it’s looking gorgeous from up here. I really feel like we’re in Hawaii or something right now. I know. Okinawa honestly feels more like Hawaii than Japan. Yeah, but it’s a good vibe out here. I just think you go [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] It is now 7:30. The sun has just set and we’re going to go get dinner now. We’re heading to a pretty popular sushi conveyor belt restaurant here in this area. It’s only about a 8-minute walk. [Music] It’s a lot of people. All right, so this is the conveyor belt restaurant we’re currently at. Has 3,500 reviews and apparently it’s pretty good. Damn, I’m hungry. It’s about to go down. Get your wallet ready, babe. [Music] All right, time to eat. We don’t even know where to start. Bro, I’m so hungry. Like, I’m shaking right now. Let’s try the salmon. Yes, sir. This is like Ann’s go-to. Honestly, we’ve been having sushi like every day that we’ve been here in Okinawa. Yeah, I know. Well, we usually go to Shushiro, which is actually way cheaper than here. Yeah. But the quality is, I think, better here. The quality is good. It’s good. Okay. Cheers. [Music] And so this is the salmon with avocado. Oh, this thing like just pours out soy sauce. Cheers. [Music] That’s amazing. Get another one. This is why we love coming back to Japan. Sushi. The sushi, bro. If I could only have like one type of food for the rest of my life, it would be sushi. So, if you’re wondering how much the sushi cost, they range from 190 to $4.90. So, it depends on the color of the plate. So this one right here, I kind of just grabbed it from the conveyor belt. I think it’s seared tuna with some type of sauce on top, but it looks so good. This is a big slice of tuna. I know. Boo. All right, that was delicious. Now time to burn all these calories and go shop at Doniote. Thank you. [Music] All right, we’re here now at Mega. I I paid for sushi. You pay for this. No. What’s that? What is this? What is this? Oh, it’s a keychain. Oh, it’s these like Oh. Oh, that’s cool. Let’s get one. Look at this. I want this one for my car. Here we go again. John promised me he would get me three Smith skis. [Music] All right, so I know we just ate, but all that walking around and shopping in Donkey Hall got us a little bit hungry. So, we’re getting a quick snack. We’re currently here at Check it out, guys. A&W. And this is the coolest A&W we’ve ever been to. It’s a drive-in, so it feels like you’ve been transported back in time. Like, I love the vintage vibe that they have going on here. I know. That’s so cool. And fun fact, uh you can actually only find A&W in Okinawa. You can’t find them in mainland Japan. And A&W is actually one of Anna’s favorite burger chain. Yeah. So, they have this back home in Canada, and whenever Jan and I are craving like a good juicy burger, we always head to A&W. We always get like the Mama Burger and the Buddy Burger is our favorite, but I do believe that here in Okinawa, um, their burgers are different, but we’re excited to see what they have nonetheless. [Music] This is what I’m getting. That’s all I’m getting. I’m just kidding. A root beer float. Let’s go. Curly fried burger. Root beer used to actually be one of my favorite drinks, if not my favorite. And people were like, “You like root beer.” What? They got fried chicken. Yeah, we don’t have that back home. All right, we got the goods. We’re going to eat outside. Find a seat. Yeah. All right, it is now 11:00 p.m. This is our parking spot, guys. There’s actually quite a bit of people here. They’re open till 2:00 a.m. So, if you have a car, it’d be a good like little midnight snack. Yeah, midnight snack. So, I got bit that masa burger cuz they actually have this back home in Canada. Almost got some FR. [Music] Double the FR. Damn, it’s almost midnight. I’m yelling. Oh my goodness. This brings back so much memories. Sorry, I’m so happy. Why are you yelling? Brings back childhood memories. Naka yaka. Oh my. Check this burger out. Oh yeah. How is it? Is it like Yeah. back home? Because back home in Canada, the reason why we always go to A&W to get our burger fix is because the burgers are just so juicy. Mhm. Good. Mhm. Bloody hell. This is good. To be honest, guys, right now it doesn’t feel like we’re in Japan. Mhm. Feels like I’m back in California or something. Mhm. Cuz look at this. We’re surrounded by like palm trees.
