オリオンホテルモトブ!ジャングリア沖縄のオフィシャルホテル!沖縄北部観光におすすめホテル

Hello everyone! This is the Couple’s Food & Travel Channel. This time, we’re not a couple, but a mother and daughter traveling to Okinawa together. In this video, we’re introducing the Orion Hotel Motobu Resort & Spa. This hotel is the official hotel of Junglia Okinawa, a new attraction in northern Okinawa . Junglia Okinawa is a 24-minute drive from the hotel. While many people think of Okinawa’s tourist attractions, the Churaumi Aquarium is right next to the hotel, just a 7-minute walk away. We recommend relaxing and admiring the fish at the aquarium’s cafe! The atmospheric Bise Fukugi Avenue is also just a 3-minute walk away, making this hotel the perfect choice for sightseeing in northern Okinawa. My mother wanted to go whale watching, and we were even able to see a whale spout from the hotel. Whale watching is only available in winter, but this hotel is perfectly located for a variety of activities. I’ve posted a separate video about the whale watching experience, so please take a look if you’re interested. Honestly, I never thought I’d see whales in Japan, and I was incredibly moved when I saw one right in front of me. So, this time, I’d like to introduce the Orion Hotel Motobu Resort & Spa , the perfect hotel for sightseeing in northern Okinawa . Please watch until the end. Now, let’s get started. The hotel’s exterior looks like this. There are two towers, one high and one low, divided into the Ocean Wing and the Club Wing. Since I was going out for outdoor activities and not relaxing at the hotel, I booked a room in the Ocean Wing. Then, as I got out of the taxi and headed toward the hotel entrance, I was greeted with this amazing view! Wow! This is incredible! The beautiful ocean is right in front of me! And Ie Island is visible. Apparently, the sea between Ie Island and the hotel is a whale passage. Hoping to see whales from the hotel during my stay, I headed inside. The hotel has a very open and comfortable atmosphere. After checking in, I couldn’t help but go outside to see the beautiful ocean. The emerald green ocean is truly stunning. Now, to give you a bit more detail about what’s featured in this video, we’ll cover the rooms, restaurant/bar, and pool/spa/hot spring facilities. We had so much fun, so I hope you’ll watch until the end. First, let me introduce the room. A staff member escorted us to our room, and when we opened the door and stepped inside, wow! It was lovely. The room was decorated in blue, a color scheme befitting a beach resort. And it was so spacious. This room was a whopping 50 square meters! What’s more, I was curious about the view from the window! I knew it would be difficult, but it was still amazing. It’s so great to be able to see such a beautiful ocean from your room! It’s a beautiful view that you’ll want to gaze at forever. For this trip, I had signed up for a whale-watching tour on a boat, but I brought along some binoculars, hoping to see some whales from my room too! When I was in the room with my mother, I would often look out at the ocean with binoculars in hand. And lo and behold, we saw one! I saw a whale spouting and a glimpse of its tail. And it wasn’t the only time we saw it. My mother and I were drinking coffee on the terrace, staring blankly at the ocean, when we saw another spouting! It seemed there were two—a mother and a calf, I think. Apparently, whales come to this area to raise their young. I never thought we’d see one from our room, so it was a truly delightful experience. Being able to see whales from our room is incredible. Over the next three minutes, we saw them spout several times, then they seemed to move away. If you visit during whale-spotting season, I recommend gazing out the window. Now, going back to the room, this is what it looked like from the window. The square footage is quite spacious. The large windows make it feel even more spacious. There were two double-sized beds, both of which were very comfortable . There was a charging station for smartphones next to the pillow, as you’d expect. There was a TV on the wall opposite the bed, as well as a table. I often work while traveling, so I used it as a desk. When I was working and looked outside, I could see this beautiful ocean view, which was amazing. It wasn’t a desk, so it didn’t have any drawers. Instead, the large TV stand had shelves, so I stored my tools there. I didn’t leave things lying around. There were also plenty of outlets, so I never had trouble charging my gadgets. There was a sofa next to the bed. When my mother was in the room, she would sit on it or relax in one of the chairs on the terrace. The view from the sofa was certainly amazing. And here’s the minibar. It had water, coffee, and tea. There were cups, so you could enjoy tea or coffee in the comfort of your room. Next was the closet. We stayed at this hotel for two nights and three days, doing various activities like whale watching and nature walks, so we stored quite a lot of clothes and shoes, but it was spacious enough for two people. They also had pajamas, made of comfortable fabric, so it was great for lounging. Next is the bathroom. The sink area is small, but it’s spacious enough that my mother and I could sit next to each other. The amenities include a toothbrush, hairbrush, and all the essentials. They don’t provide any basic skincare, so you’ll need to bring your own. The bathroom looks like this. It was spacious enough for me to stretch my legs out. Of course, shampoo was provided. The room looked like this, and I had a very comfortable stay. Next, let’s talk about the restaurants. The hotel’s restaurants and bars include the Okinawan Izakaya “Karii,” the all-day dining restaurant “Sirius,” the Ristorante “Glauco,” the barbecue restaurant “Capella,” and the Orion Beer Bar. However, the barbecue restaurant “Capella” was closed at the time, so I couldn’t use it, but I did try the other three restaurants and bars. First, let’s start with the Okinawan Izakaya “Curry.” Curry is an Okinawan izakaya-style restaurant offering regional and Ryukyu cuisine made with an abundance of local ingredients, as well as a wide selection of awamori. By the way, “curry” apparently means “cheers” in the Okinawan dialect. And here’s what the interior of the restaurant looks like. The interior, featuring ample wood, creates a relaxing atmosphere. There are counter seats and private table seats. It’s been years since I’ve been to an izakaya, so it’s been a while since I’ve experienced an atmosphere like this. The food is à la carte only, with no set menus. I’m not particularly familiar with Okinawan cuisine, so I wasn’t sure what to order. My mother visits Okinawa several times a year, so she’s more knowledgeable than me, so I left the ordering to her. Here it is. I should warn you, it’s a lot more substantial than I expected. But first, let’s toast with an Okinawan Orion beer. This hotel is actually owned and operated by the Orion Beer company. They even had a brand I’d never seen in Tokyo. I’m planning to sample various Orion beers during my stay. So, cheers. So, cheers. It was so delicious I drank it all in one go. The first dish was curry salad, a typical Okinawan salad with plenty of sea grapes. First, veggie first. The second dish was mozuku tempura. It was my first time eating mozuku tempura fried like this. Maybe it’s the local way of eating it. It made me really happy. The third dish was somen chanpuru. It was quite meaty and fatty. This also went well with beer. The fourth dish was grilled Okinawan Yanbaru miso marinated chicken. It was soft and delicious with the sweetness of the pork. The fifth dish was fried Yanbaru herb chicken. My mom ordered a lot more than I expected. And finally, morning ochazuke. Finishing with ochazuke was just like my mom would have expected. Next up was All Day Dining Sirius. This restaurant is a buffet-style restaurant. We had dinner there. The restaurant atmosphere is like this, with glass walls that create a very open feel. It’s nice to dine while looking out at the garden. The food selection is like this. They have a variety of dishes, including simmered dishes, sashimi, and Okinawan cuisine. I usually don’t go to buffet restaurants at dinnertime, but on this day, I thought my mother and I would be pretty exhausted from whale watching, so I made a reservation so that we could eat what we wanted at our own pace. They also had Western-style dishes, so we were able to enjoy a variety of options. Both my mother and I were pretty exhausted, so it was very convenient to be able to eat what we wanted at our own pace without having to wait for our food. So, that’s how we ate our meal. Next up was Ristorante Glauco. This is an Italian restaurant. It’s also my favorite restaurant. They offer both a la carte and course meals, and it’s one of my favorite restaurants. Since I was there, I decided to take advantage of the guaranteed window-seat sunset dinner. It was a truly wonderful experience dining while watching one of Okinawa’s most beautiful sunsets, with the Emerald Beach and Ie Island silhouette unfolding before us . I also heard from the restaurant staff that you can sometimes see whales snorkeling. If it’s daylight, you might be able to see one. The atmosphere was so lovely, so I ordered the original cocktail, “Motobu Sunset.” We toasted while watching the sun go down. The first dish was an assortment of appetizers. On the right was smoked Motobu tuna tartare. On the left was zeppole, an Italian dish made with pizza dough mixed with seaweed and deep-fried. In the middle was grilled vegetables and prosciutto. It was a dish that I’d love to pair with sparkling wine. Next was “conchiglie,” a pasta dish with Motobu beef ragu. The shell-shaped pasta was adorable, wasn’t it? And it was absolutely delicious. I devoured it in no time. The main course was “suchika,” a fresh fish saltimbocca topped with Ryukyu pancetta. We were eating pasta, but the portion was just right, and we finished it all in one go. There was also a pizza oven inside the restaurant, and since my mother and I are both big eaters, we ordered an additional pizza, even though it wasn’t part of our course menu. A Margherita. It was a very satisfying dinner. In addition to the restaurant, there was also a bar. Since it’s run by Orion Beer, it was an Orion Beer bar. Upon entering, the first thing you’ll see is Orion Beer souvenirs at the back of the bar. As expected of Orion Beer, they had Orion Beer on display, as well as a tasting set. Since we were there, we ordered the tasting set. It was quite an interesting time for my mother and I to compare the different flavors of beer. We could also enjoy the ocean view from the large window right in front of our seats. And the taste… My daughter couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow! That’s delicious!” next to my mother, who cutely declared, “Delicious!” For snacks, we had my favorite, Kakinotane (Persimmon Seeds). They were tangy and delicious. My mother and I both enjoyed the beer. Next, I’ll introduce breakfast. While breakfast is available at the buffet restaurant mentioned earlier, we liked the atmosphere at Glauco so much that we ate there during our three-day, two-night stay. For breakfast, you order a main dish, and the rest is served buffet-style. Considering the size of the restaurant, the selection is probably smaller than at Sirius, but it’s still more than enough for breakfast. And everything was delicious. We started with plenty of fresh vegetables for breakfast. For the main course, my mother had a shrimp omelet. It was a luxurious omelet, wasn’t it? I had pasta. The pasta we had for dinner yesterday was delicious, so we had pasta for breakfast, too. It was also excellent. Next, let’s take a look at the facilities. First, the pool. There are both indoor and outdoor pools. We stayed in January, so we didn’t use them, but it’s nice to be able to enjoy the indoor pool even on a rainy summer day. Next, we headed to the spa hot spring facility. This hotel boasts a natural hot spring. This spa, called “Churaumi no Yu,” is a natural hot spring that springs from a geological layer 1,500 meters underground and is over 200 million years old . As a mother and daughter who love hot springs, we naturally enjoyed the hot spring every day. While I didn’t take any photos of the inside, the view of the emerald green ocean and Ie Island towering on the horizon beyond the steam is breathtaking. I also recommend it for sauna lovers. It was relaxing and healing every day. The hot spring facilities are an additional charge. If you’d like to use them, please let the front desk know. Next up was the JTB Lounge. Since I booked through JTB, I tried it out. They offer a selection of sweets and drinks. Apparently, they also serve beer. This is a great service for those who enjoy alcohol! In addition to alcohol, there was fruit, juice, tea, coffee, and other items. There were also cakes and jellies in the glass cases. My mother and I had dessert and tea. It was a perfect place to relax. Next, we took a walk around the hotel. I highly recommend taking a stroll through the hotel garden. The road to the sea is lined with a variety of tropical plants, and it’s fun just to walk and look at them. I’d like to end the video by showing you a walk in the garden. This is how I enjoyed my time at Orion Hotel Resort & Spa. I hope you all enjoy this video, even just a little. I’ll continue to introduce various gourmet and travel experiences, so please subscribe to my channel and click the like button. See you in the next video. Thank you for watching.
