Junglia Okinawa π΄(Worth It?) My Weekend Off as a Digital Nomad in Japan
If you are a remote worker or traveler wondering if Janglia Okinawa is worth your precious weekend off, stay with me. I’ve been living and working remotely in Japan for over 2 years. And in this video, I’ll give you the real experience. What’s open, what’s not, what’s overpriced, and what blew my mind. First thing you need to know, Jungla is not a one day thing. People tried it too much. You want a full day just for the park and a full day for the spa to actually enjoy it. Also, if you’re curious about living in Japan and working remotely, check out the link below. I made the Okinaba life guide to help you skip months of research. It’s packed with map pins, accommodation lists, visa info, and 50 plus short audios you can just listen to while walking or working. Junglia just opened in summer 2025 and everything is brand new and stunning. From the rainforest vibes to the friendly staff to the cute photo spots under the trees. It feels like a botanical garden with an adventure twist. Parking fills up quickly. It’s 2,000 yen per day. So, I recommend parking at the mall and taking their free aironditioned shuttle. Super comfy. Also, it’s hot like frozen apple juice on the neck hot. There are cooling mist sprays, free umbrellas, and shaded trails, but definitely bring a fan or even one of those neck coolers. About the rides, the park is still in soft opening mode, so some major rides sell out immediately in the morning. I missed the Sky Phoenix and the Gravity Drop, but only because they were booked out within minutes. So, arrive early or even better, get a premium pass. It’s worth it. I’m going to show you some of the activities we tried. If you’re just here for the vibe check or the spa review, feel free to skip ahead using the chapters below. Dinosaur safari. This was hands down the best ride I did at Junglia. You’re in this jungle truck safari. You splash, you scream, you watch a dude get eaten by a T-Rex. It’s wild, super immersive, and yes, you will get wet. Like really wet. Oh, and the funniest part, at one point, a dinosaur legit peed on us. Not real, of course, but it came out of nowhere and we screamed. [Music] There’s even a video download via QR code at the end, which is such a fun souvenir. Finding dinosaurs. This was a more chill walkthrough adventure, but still very interactive. You wear a helmet, walk through nature, explore caves, and follow a guide who makes it hilarious even in Japanese. There’s a story line and at the end you will try to find the lost dinosaur. [Music] [Music] [Music] And there’s a great photo spot with a dinosaur family to sit on. Super fun, especially for families with kids. I really enjoyed it. [Music] So, Jambaroo Friends. These shows really surprised me. They’re super cute, great for all ages. And even though it’s mostly in Japanese, there are English prompts and a free audio guide to follow along. It’s got a story line about the forest, and it’s funny in a very Japanese way. Think forest guardians, silly jokes, and really wholesome vibes. Say this name. Also, the merchandise is hilarious. My friend bought a massage stick that looks questionable, but actually works. Ladies and gentlemen, and everyone in between. Shredd the like button. There are dinosaur finger puppets, beautiful Okinawa branded towels, cookies, shirts, everything. Also, smart tip, some guests brought folding chairs for the queue. Genius idea. Last heads up, no Wi-Fi. And even with a good SIM card, the reception was bad inside. So, don’t plan to stream or work from the park. But hey, maybe that’s the point. And let’s not forget the live shows. At Breeze Arena, you will see incredible performances, music, dancing, and water. Buckets of it. Even if you stand behind the barrier, depending on the wind, you will get soaked. The whole park is infused with energy. Birds singing, tropical beats playing, the architecture blending into the jungle. You can feel how much effort went into it. And don’t forget, if you want to move here or even just try it for a few months, my Okilawa life guide is in the description. It’s got everything you need. Visa charts, audio guides, accommodation tips, and more. Super easy to listen to while you’re packing or working. Now for day two, the Junglia Spa. And wow, this is not just an add-on, it’s a full experience. Think infinity pools, steamy jungle mist, and natural cave pools, all set in a lush rainforest. I rent on a rainy day, and it only made the whole place feel more tropical and dreamy. Spa Jang Leia was certified by Guinness World Records as the largest infinity public bath. Here’s what you get. pools at different temperatures, hot, cool, and warm. Outdoor sauna with a view. Cavelike darker pool for deep relaxation. Indoor jacuzzi’s and more pools. And the legendary world record spa pool. Everything is clean, beautifully designed, and yes, the shampoo, body wash, and lotion smell incredible. There are free lockers and shoe storage, and it’s honestly one of the most hygienic spa setups I’ve seen, but heads up, kids are allowed, so it’s not always silent like a traditional onen. Still peaceful, just manage your expectations. After soaking, I went to the sparse restaurant and had calamari and a cold drink while watching the sunset over Jambaroo National Park. Honestly, that moment alone made a home visit worth it. So, is Junglia worth it? Yes, 100%. Just go prepared. If you want a mix of nature, fun, chill, and a little chaos, I truly recommend doing it as a two-day retreat. One day for the park and one just to breathe in the spa. And if you’re curious what life actually looks like here as a digital nomad, from co-working cafes to beach breaks, check out my next video where I share exactly that.
