Japan Trip Slow Vlog Tokyo Finale

This morning we’re going to the latest Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback movie setting, Nagano, to get the special stamp Nagano Station is already decked out with movie standees and banners promoting the film. Arriving at the stamp place just to realize that this stamp is for another stamp rally event It’s the Shinshu Train Travel Campaign Stamp Rally. It’s tempting, but we know we won’t have enough time to complete both. So, back to business..the JR Stamp Rally!
The stamp booth is just outside the station. Since Nagano is famous for its Shine Muscat grapes, don’t forget to try desserts and drinks featuring this green grape while you’re here. Nagano is one of Japan’s top vineyard areas, known for producing high-quality Shine Muscat. We found a muscat jelly drink in the vending machine! It’s from the same brand that makes ramune jelly, but you don’t often see it in regular machines. My friend wanted to try this Detective Conan collaboration coffee drip. It’s said to have bitter chocolate, hazelnut, dried fruit, and spicy notes. I’m no coffee expert, but the shop includes taste indicators on the label.. From the top: bitter taste, acidity, richness, scent. The complex flavor was crafted to reflect the film’s emotional depth and the cold, tense atmosphere of the snowy mountain setting. Back to Tokyo! Our stamp rally sheet still has many blank spaces to fill! My husband picked a gyutan bento box to eat on the train. Its special than any other bento box coz this one can self heating. While we waited for the bento to warm up, I got curious about my friend’s melon pan… After about 5 minutes, the gyutan was finally ready! Here’s the secret behind the self-heating magic! The gyutan is juicy and springy, and the barley rice is perfectly soft. It’s not quite Sendai level, but for a bento—definitely worth trying! At the middle of the train ride, we decided to stop before reaching Tokyo and stop at Ueno to acquire one more stamp. And while in Ueno, we stopped by Ameya Yokocho
because we’re in the area.. It is actually a drinking place. But we are more interested with their food. Almost all their kushikatsu is tasty~ From Ueno, we made a quick stop in Akihabara to pick up our friend before heading to Nakano.. He just finished getting a hair perm. I don’t know why, but the milk here tastes amazing.
I always stop by when I can! PS: From what I’ve observed, the locals drink on the spot and return the glass bottle directly to the lady seller. I was aiming for this coffee-jumping cat gacha..
hoping to get one of these two. It’s hard to guess what’s inside since all the gacha capsules are dark and look the same pure luck this time~ Quick unbox coz I want to return the gacha ball. Got more bottles of milk for my friend before hopping on the train. In front of Nakano Broadway, we stopped at a shop selling imagawayaki—a warm, fluffy, pancake-like traditional treat. The cake is really warm & fluff I get the red bead and cheese, very creamy! Getting a cup of latte for my friend and a cone of soft ice cream for me! Nakano Broadway is famous for its quirky shops and hidden gems..
you never know what you’ll find! It is also home to numerous Mandarake stores. Sometimes you get lucky, like finding this rare coin storage gacha
I’ve been hunting for! Some gacha shops even have miniature “studio boxes”
so you can take cute pics of your toys. “Sumimasen! One more coke float, please!” Don’t forget to collect the Nakano station stamp before you leave! I use an app called Ekitag (エキタグ) to scan the digital stamps. Dinner time! Tonight we’re having juicy Hamburg steak! It’s on the second floor. We found this hidden place on Tabelog. It’s a small restaurant, but it seems to be a popular restaurant. Last year we came here, there was queue. Tonight maybe its past dinner time and Tuesday night also, so we’re in front of the line. Menu is Japanese only, but you can use google translate Please note that the ticket machine only accepts bills no larger than 2,000 yen and coins. They have many sauce to choose from. You just need to translate the yellow paper. Hmm.. next time I’ll try this crab cream croquette! I choose the grill set. I came with pork bacon, with the demiglaze sauce, it was towards a little sweet but it suits the hamburg taste. See the juice that comes out from the hamburg And since it’s Tuesday… there’s free ice cream for me
um.. I mean for female customer, yay~ After dinner, we did a little boost to the stamp rally progress. Sometimes what I like about these kind of rally activity is..
the discovery of unexpectedly cool stations like this. Because the Shinjuku Station is huge and like a maze,
we looked up clues about the stamp location before arriving. We were planning to visit Iidabashi for one last stamp… but.. the time frame is really thin for us to find the stamp then catch the train home. If we miss it, we might not be able to go home. So.. We decided not to take the risk.. and end the stamp rally for today. Tempted to try Beard Papa’s cream puff this morning I went for the matcha filling with croissant-like flakes. Delicious, super flakey, super messy. First stop: Iidabashi to get Makoto’s stamp
(Sonoko Suzuki’s long-distance boyfriend). Just found out there’s more detail of the stamp location. Just needed to translate the whole paper.. Not just the back of the paper. *cry* Sorry Sonoko, we’ll meet you next day,
coz today we’re going to Harajuku. This is a popular ramen restaurant
near Yoyogi Park and Meiji Shrine in Harajuku The portions are pretty huge (for us),
and you can’t choose the portion size here. But you can customize noodle texture, broth type, and spice level! Despite its name, you won’t find any cats roaming here. The “cat” in is more metaphorical than literal.
It’s a street for “cool cats” who walk the fashion catwalk! The cookies a little bit on the pricey side, but the taste is good. Each one is massive—around 8–9 cm wide and 2–3 cm thick! This area is a trendy pedestrian alley packed with everything
from vintage gems and indie designers to global brands. Their craft cola is weirdly good!
Astoundingly unique flavor that differs from any traditional cola. It is made using an abundance of cola nuts, spices, citrus fruits,
and medicinal herbs. Tempted by the unique skirt outside of this store. Ended up bringing two skirts home.. ^_^;; Discovered this cute phone case brand on Instagram
I knew I had to visit their Tokyo store! Standard cases range from ¥3,500 to ¥5,500.
Limited or collab editions cost more. It took forever to pick one… too many cute designs! The liquid-filled base cases like these, don’t support MagSafe, just FYI. How could they come up with these little quirk details.. By the time we got here, there’s a promotion that if you review their store on maps, you can get a free gift by spinning this gacha machine. Everybody got out with a shopping bag in their hand! LOL And inside, there’s more freebies: sticker sets! Trust me, we’re here for dinner! Only one beer in this kanpai shot
(even though my friend ended order 3 different kind of their beer) free appetizers: salty peanuts & crunchy pretzels. We arrived late..around 10 PM..
their kitchen is already last order, so we order a lot of food. Eventhough their name is perfect beer, but their food is also good~ Everything we order is tasty~ Today started our day out at lunch time. Then off to collecting some Conan stamps again,
before going to our day trip to Kamakura Found this cool projection showing the station exits.. pretty neat! First, need to transfer from Kamakura JR Station to Enoden Line (Enoshima Electric Railway) Ahh… the train just left.. :’( We waited the next train for about 15 minutes.. Our first stop is Hase Station, home of the famous Kotoku-in Temple and the Great Buddha of Kamakura. From Hase Station, it’s just a short 7-minute walk to the temple. Would love to explore the area if we had more time… Entry ticket costs ¥300 per adult. From there we went to the famous & crowded Slam Dunk location. The railway crossing in front of the station, with the ocean and Enoshima island in the background This place also renowned for its appearance in the opening scene of the popular anime Slam Dunk. Sadly, the weather wasn’t great today, so no clear view of the seaside… Back at Kamakura Station, we tried these sugar-glazed fruits
this one’s kiwi! The sugar cover counters the sour taste of the kiwi. I really wanted this train announcement gacha…
but it was already empty 🙁 Waiting for another friend at the FamilyMart across the station. We were starving, so FamiChiki to the rescue! We were getting out the station apart for like 40–45 minutes…
and somehow, my friend got the gacha refilled. The gacha I wanted!! This escalator kinda gives Shibuya Sky vibes… but with plants, lol. We actually came just to see this 7-Eleven
with Tokyo Tower in the background. …But ended up buying stuff again. “Oops” Trying another sushi chain, Hama-Sushi Everything’s ordered via tablet or touch screen. If you’re splitting the bill later, keep track of your sushi prices! Ocha powder & hot water are available on the table Mix well then you’ll get a hot green tea~ Overall experience is pretty similar to Kura Sushi in Osaka… …But taste-wise, we still click more with Kura Sushi. Since it’s raining, we’re craving something warm, like a bowl of ramen. Buying a day pass because it’s cheaper a few yen. We’re splitting today.
My friend are going to collect the Conan rally stamp The rest of us going to Ginza. I’m not taking too much footage today because it’s raining and
we’re mostly hopping between stores indoors. I’m here for some stationaries and their ramen stamps. Apparently, they also have a Ginza & Kyoto store stamp rally. Maybe next time, if we visit Kyoto, I can finally complete the whole set? They’re also doing a demo of TO-MEI HAN stamp techniques. TO-MEI HAN is a clear stamp made from transparent photopolymer
it can be used and peeled off repeatedly. The result are very delicate & detail. We start the ramen stamp from the 1F. The other location of the stamps, are listed on the instruction paper. Four of the stamps are inside the same building… …but the last one is in a separate Itoya, just across the street tho. We were fooled by how short the line looked…
only to realize it started all the way from across the store ૮(ㅍ◞◟ㅍ)ა Despite the long queue, waiting time is not too long tho. We preferred the savory items overall. The matcha chestnut one had a nice balance between the topping and the cream, but the strawberry one was too heavy on cream. Also, no dine-in option here, only takeout. So we eat near the park. *with pigeons on patrol, ready to snatch anything we drop* And just like that the day almost come to an end. You can see Takeshita Street from up here. A rain shower has cleared out this typically vibrant outdoor spot. The space is beautifully designed with a dazzling display of lights,
adding a touch of enchantment. We moved to this hotel on our last night in Tokyo. With so much stuff, it’s cheaper to book a hotel and use their concierge service rather than using a coin locker after checkout. And yes… as the name suggests, the hotel is literally under a railway. The noise? We’re all tired, surely we can sleep..
besides, train stops running after 12 midnight. After find a way to stuff all our shopping today.. My husband and I go to the nearest restaurant that are still open Thank you for taking us as your last customers! Itadakimasu! WE OVERSLEPT!!!!!!!! Rushed to meet our friend
who managed to complete the final batch of stamps! Then off to NewDays at Tokyo Station to exchange the prize. We got the keychain & holo card game from the stamp in Nagano.
And another card game from completing all the stamps. And by completing all the stamps can also enter the lottery to win the signed movie poster actually.. but tourists can’t join. After all the commotion calmed down a little bit,
we head to somewhere for lunch It’s raining, but I need to grab some skincare
before heading to the airport. I like the Cosme here, it’s not crowded! Despite the windy rain, we go back to the hotel to get our luggage and say goodbye to our friend before going to the airport. The Narita Express requires both a basic fare ticket and a limited express ticket. The cost varies depending on the destination and
the type of seat (ordinary or Green Car). While passing through Chiba, we spotted the city’s rollercoaster
wait, I mean the hanging monorail! Another proof of Japan is living in 2050:
A cart that can cruise on the escalator! Flying with ANA to Singapore this time…
fingers crossed it’s the Pikachu Jet! Let’s check out the lounge! There are shower room in the lounge. But alas, because of the limited time and the queue, only one of us made it to the shower… And its not me.. so no footage of it ^_^;; Time to board the plane. Wow.. there are qwerty keyboard and the joystick controller on the back of the remote?! Even though the plane isn’t Pokémon themed, at least we still got the Pokemon safety instruction! It was still raining when we take off.. But as soon as we flew through the clouds, we got clear sunset sky. Because we didn’t get the Pokémon-themed flight, we decided to buy the miniature instead. Justice must be merchandised!!! ( 。 •̀ ᴖ •́ 。)💢 Well… not all of them are ours actually.
Some were actually requests from our friends There are messaging feature also in this plane. So.. it seems..
the keyboard not just for searching movie name. We both order the same menu.
The one marked with A~ (๑ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ๑) Thankfully! The bidet blessing is still with us on this plane. This is the breakfast before we prepare to land.
A milk bread topped with a gooey corn mayonnaise topping. And while waiting to disembark, the screen played some Pokémon in-flight videos. Still holding out hope that one day we’ll finally experience one of these Pokémon-themed flight ✨✈️🧡

Tokyo marked the final city on our trip.. and honestly, two weeks simply weren’t enough.
