day trip to nara, japan 🇯🇵🦌 deer crackers, lunch at kamaiki udon, todai-ji & kofuku-ji temples

I said things, you know. Good morning. Today we are heading off to N. It’s probably going to be yet another touristy experience, but we’re just going to try to make the most of it. And we’re excited to feed deer and kind of just walk around, maybe visit some more temples. But yeah, we’ll we’ll see you there. What the hell am I doing? I don’t know. We want it too much. We lose it so fast. What you try to control? Never seems to last. If there [Applause] hypocritical, but I can change it to your feeling. I just pretend like I don’t even really see it. Yeah, it’s all good now. Secretly inside of emotionally venting. Tell me how I do it. I don’t know. [Music] So fast we try to control it seems to last [Music] you like what I thought I had. If you think critical it’s all right. It’s all right. [Music] Hello. We have made it to N. We took the train here and it was pretty fast. It wasn’t that long at all and we had reserve seats so it was all very smooth sailing and we just made it here not too long ago. Earlier we had a mochi at and we thought it was okay. Uh it wasn’t really our cup of tea. I think inside it was red bean and then outside was mugwart and there were also a lot of tourists there so it was quite crowded but we left and then we came over here to Kofukuji. We’re here outside Kofukuchi right now. It’s a really cool temple. We got our koshuin that we’ve been collecting. It’s probably one of the oddly enough it’s one of the more peaceful and quiet temples we’ve been to. Even though Nara is pretty touristy and even though there’s a lot of people at the temples usually there’s just a lot of space for people to walk around and so it’s not too crowded. Yes. And we are right outside of it. We’re not going in because admission is like at least 500 yen or something and we just kind of thought that I don’t know. We’re we’re satisfied just looking at it from the outside. So, we’re about to head to lunch after this. We found this udong place called Kamayaki Kamayiki. Maybe we were supposed to go to a different place called Tango Kudong Nara, but it’s closed today. So, we will be going to this new place and we’re excited. Excited to eat lunch. Catch you soon. [Music] Is he actually [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Great one. [Music] 67. [Music] [Music] [Music] They’re not coming, but they’re just staring at us. [Music] [Music] [Applause] We need to run. [Music] Hey, what you doing? [Music] Easy [Music] [Applause] first. [Music] [Applause] [Music] There you go. [Music] That’s kind of nice. [Music] Don’t get me wrong, there’s something close. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Hello. I wanted to quickly talk to the camera, talk to you guys because I haven’t really been able to talk about what we’ve been doing today. It’s just been one thing after another, really hectic. So after we went to the first temple, we ended up walking around and feeding deer. Uh it was honestly a really scary experience. Like the deer get really aggressive and if they smell your crackers or see the crackers in your hand, like the deer crackers that they sell in the area, they’ll just all like start walking towards you. I was very drained after it. But then we went to Toadi, which is another temple. And Toadi is like one of the biggest temples in the Nar area, and it’s really famous. And we had a lot of fun there. We got the goshu in. We also got a few stamps to add to our collection. And so that temple was really nice. It had this Buddha room and there was this gigantic Buddha statue in there which was unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Then we got on the train to go from N to Ko again. And here we are eating Ichi for dinner. We’re really hungry and we just decided to go with a ramen that we knew was good. I totally forgot to add this earlier, but um just wanted to tell everyone that Ted, my partner, actually got nipped in the butt by a deer because he wasn’t fast enough to give the deer the cracker. Would you like to say a few words on getting nipped in the butt by the deer? It was terrible. They were terrifying. We were scrambling and running for our lives and we had to be careful not to step in the poop at the same time. But all in all, it was still kind of funny. It was just such a hilarious experience. But yeah, there was like deer poop all over the ground and so if you are a clean freak, um I would not really recommend going because the whole area just kind of smelled like the zoo. But it was funny and we’re so glad we went because that was an experience itself. But yeah, thank you for watching this vlog and I’ll see you in the next one. Bye. [Music]
