Osaka is also the ideal location for exploring the south of the main island of Honshu. Kyoto, the former capital and still a cultural center, is quickly reached. With the Shinkansen, Japan’s legendary bullet train, you can quickly reach more distant cities – more about that in the second part of my JAPAN 2025.
