🇯🇵 Osaka Street Food Tour in Dotonbori: Eating Japan’s BEST Takoyaki

[Music] We’re in Dottenbury, the heart of Aaka’s world famous street food scene, and today we’re trying some tasty local specialtities. First up is the Wagu beef and octopus on a stick, grilled fresh right in front of us. The octopus was good, but the Wagyu was my personal favorite. It’s served with soy sauce and wasabi, which actually worked really well as a combination. Next, we hit up one of the many strawberry dessert places that we saw. We grabbed a strawberry crepe with cream and chocolate. It was good, but a bit too sweet for me. Then we totally had to stop at Takoyaki Juhachi to try their famous takiyaki. We watched the chefs flipping them right in front of the shop with some impressive speed. They come out piping hot and topped with sauce, chopped spring onions, and mayo. You’ve got to let them cool down a bit, but they are definitely worth it and probably my favorite Japanese street food. After that, we wandered around Dottenbury and soaked up the vibe. It’s an awesome spot and totally worth a look.

📍Takoyaki Juhachiban, Dotonbori, Osaka

Join us in Dotonbori, the heart of Osaka’s street food scene, as we dive into some of the best Japanese snacks around. We start with Wagyu beef and octopus on a stick, grilled fresh with soy sauce and wasabi. The Wagyu was definitely the highlight. Then we try a sweet strawberry crepe with cream and chocolate from one of Osaka’s many dessert stalls.

The real star, though, is the famous takoyaki from Takoyaki Juuhachiban. Watching the chefs flip them with expert skill is part of the fun, and they come out piping hot, topped with sauce, mayo, and spring onions. Easily my favourite Japanese street food. We finished the night soaking up the energy of Dotonbori, an unforgettable place and a must-visit.
