Naomi Osaka is giving fans an inside look into her life with her new documentary, “Naomi Osaka: The Second Set.”

On Aug. 6, Tubi dropped a trailer for the film, which will premiere exclusively on the platform on Aug. 24. The trailer shows all the challenges the tennis star went through after she became a first-time mom in 2023.

That year, she welcomed her little girl, Shai, into the world with her then-boyfriend, rapper Cordae. After several years of dating, the couple parted ways in January 2025.

Osaka notes in the trailer for the film, which was co-produced by her Hana Kuma platform, that she’s dealt with challenges between balancing her career and taking care of her daughter.

At one point in the trailer, someone says that Osaka took a “big risk” to put her “career on hold” for her pregnancy.

However, Osaka, who has won four Grand Slam titles in her career, explains that she adores being a mom more than anything else.

“Having a family, for me, that was my biggest dream. I always wanted to be a mom,” she says.

The trailer shows some cute clips of Osaka hanging out with Shai, like a video of Osaka taking her daughter on a walk.

Near the end of the trailer, Osaka talks about her big return to tennis.

In a voice-over, she calls her return to the sport a “love letter for moms.”

In another scene, she reveals how her daughter has changed her life.

“Some people say she ended my career, but for me it feels like she started my career,” Osaka says through tears.
