Fievel Is Glauque, the jazz-pop duo consisting of New York-born multi-instrumentalist Zach Phillips and Brussels-born vocalist Ma Clément, is making their Blue Note Tokyo debut. Formed in 2018 and based between Brooklyn and Brussels, they released their first live recording, God’s Trashmen Sent to Right the Mess, on cassette in 2021, followed by their studio album Flaming Swords in 2022.
With a sound reminiscent of Steely Dan, their jazzy yet experimental approach has earned global acclaim. Their 2023 album, Rong Weicknes, released on the cutting-edge label Fat Possum.
