Mount Fuji From Here is UNREAL | Kawaguchiko Travel Guide ๐ฏ๐ต
Konichiwa Travelmaniacs. Welcome back to
another episode from the land of the rising sun. Today we’ll be visiting Lake
Kawaguchi and hoping to catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount Fuji. With favorable weather,
we will be able to do so. Let’s hope for the best and let’s enjoy the sight of Mount Fuji.
Let’s go. To get to Kawaguchiko, we first made our way to Tokyo Station
where we boarded an express bus at 2,200 yen per person one way. It’s a
convenient and budget friendly way to escape the city and head
towards Mount Fuji. We are in bus now to Kawaguchiko and it takes roughly
2 hours to get there. So this bus comes with
onboard washroom as well. you have a cup holder and socket to charge your phone and yeah
seems comfortable. The leg room is quite good. You can see good leg room.
quite spacious. I’m not sure if I will check the
washroom or not. If I do then I can show you guys. If I don’t then at least
you know there is a washroom on board. [Music] [Music] This Is it. We are at the Kawaguchiko station now.
This is where we get off and we need to come back here again
later for our bus back to Tokyo. Just 2 hours from the chaos of Tokyo
lies a peaceful lakeside town where still waters mirrors Japan’s most sacred
mountain. Welcome to Kawaguchiko where every
season paints a new picture of Mount Fuji We came here chasing views, quiet moments, and a quiet magic of Japan’s
natural beauty. This is the gateway to the Fuji 5 lakes. And today we’ll
show you why it deserves a place on the Japan bucket list. On clear days, the mountain
reveals itself, towering above the lake like a guardian of the land. Let’s hope
today is one of those days. As you can see behind me,
the majestic Mount Fuji. It’s a perfect weather, I would say.
Sunny, not too cloudy, and you can see Mount Fuji in all its glory. But I’m
going to look for better spot to view it. So join me and let’s explore
Fuji Kawaguchiko. Let’s go. All right, we got our day pass ticket.
Now we’re going in to take the train to our next destination. It’s very crowded here. there are lots of buses
coming in as well. Hotel pickup and hotel transport. Alright let’s go. I fancy this seat Oh, yours truly got a seat fitting for a
king. Check my seat out. I got a love couch on a train. That’s for the rest of them. The standard seat. Okay, let’s take a look at the train.
Inside of the train. Some very vintage couches Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Oh no. Okay. Baby. Alright. This is our first stop. I think we’re going to make our way to a pagoda with 400 steps to get to the top. So, we better get going. You know what? Something tells me we
have to walk all the way up to the back there. I’m not I’m not sure if you can
see it. You see, you can see people walking up that hill. Yeah, I got a
feeling we have to do that. Oh gosh. Things we do to get great views of Mount Fuji. After a scenic ride on the classic Fujisan View Express or as the locals
call it, Fuji Tozan Densha. Now it’s time for 25 minute uphill walk to one of
Japan’s most iconic viewpoints, the Chureito Pagoda. It’s a bit of a climb
with over 400 steps ahead of us. But the view from up there overlooking Mount
Fuji should be absolutely spectacular if the day is clear. Let’s find out if we
get lucky. Okay, that’s where we are going.
Arakurayama Sengen Park Chureito Pagoda So that way. Okay, making my way up. on the chocolate. Okay, I’m going to continue
doing the final leg on the way up. There’s a queue up there. So, I’ll see
how if the queue is too long, I will make my way back down again because
that’s the beautiful Mount Fuji. So apparently
that area is the best photo spot because you get a partial, you can get a pagoda
and Mount Fuji. So most people will shoot partially pagoda partially Mount Fuji like you see on the internet. As you can see the queue there.
It’s crazy. But since I’m already here,
I might as well give it a go. Quite cloudy today. Quite foggy as well. So you can already see There she is.
Beautiful Mount Fuji. So that was it.
Top with Mount Fuji. Okay, so now we are waiting for the bus.
We’ll be heading to our next destination which is Lake Kawaguchi. This is the queue.
I think that should be the bus. Alright, we’re finally here.
This is the last stop. Natural living center. Yeah,
so later we need to take the bus back from here again. That’s the lake. It’s huge. Really huge.
I cannot get to record just now as the bus was fully packed. [Music] [Music] All right, we’re making our
way to Lake Kawaguchi. It’s a… what’s the time now? It’s almost 3:00 PM. Very crowded, very busy. So yeah, apparently you can see Mount
Fuji from here. Not apparently. You can actually see Mount Fuji from here,
but not today because it’s quite cloudy. It’s quite foggy.
So, we just spend like maybe
half an hour here, look at the lake, and head back,
catch our bus back to Tokyo. So yeah, besides going up to the pagoda,
this Lake Kawaguchi is also an attraction here. I saw you can do
some those paddle thing. You know? In a swan. Paddle around. Paddle boat?
You call that? Is that it? or paddle swan? I see some speed boat as well. I’m
not sure if you can jet ski or things like that. But yeah, there are some
activities you can do here as well. Other than that, you can just see the silhouette of Mount
Fuji over there. Just a little. Yeah, that’s all I can get. So you
better pray hard for clear day if you’re coming here.
Other than that, it’s just one huge lake [Music] Ladies and gentlemen, dear Travelmaniacs,
welcome to the most famous and iconic Lawson in Japan.
Behind this Lawson is the majestic Mount Fuji. I’m pretty sure you’ve seen photos of it
before online and it was once made famous because the authorities blocked
to avoid tourists taking photos. Now they reopen back and you are free to do
so but please obey local authorities law and orders. Okay, it’s time to head back to Tokyo now. We are back at the Kawaguchiko
station. So waiting for our bus which departs in another 15 minutes. What do I think of Lake Kawaguchi? I think it’s worth coming if you are in
Tokyo. It’s only 2 hours bus ride away. Yeah, you should definitely visit here.
The scenery is beautiful. the air is fresher,
but it can be quite touristy like most parts of uh Japan,
but you won’t regret it having Mount Fuji in the background
by the lake or by the Lawson or anywhere you go, you can see Mount
Fuji from here on a clear day. So yeah, do so. It’s worth the trip.
So yeah, if you enjoy this video, please don’t forget to like and subscribe. If
you’re new here, welcome. So I’ll see you on the next one.
Bye-bye. Travel safe. Take care. [Outro]
