I Stayed at the Perfect Capsule Hotel for Sightseeing in Nagoya!

Staying at a super popular capsule hotel in Nagoya! Hey there! I’m at Nagoya Castle. Greeting us is a statue of Kato Kiyomasa. Still some time before check-in, so let’s explore the castle. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Perfect weather for hanami! They’re holding a flower festival at the castle now. Admission is $3.50. Nagoya Castle is huge! Wow! This tree is growing sideways. Looks like there are deer in the moat. Hope I can spot one! Lots of food stalls—super lively! This is the entrance to the Honmaru Palace. There’s the castle keep! Cherry blossoms and the castle—so cool! The keep is closed for earthquake safety and wooden restoration. I’m heading to Kinshachi Yokocho, but with a stamp, you can re-enter the castle. At Kinshachi Yokocho, you’ll find cafes, ramen, and sweets. Gold-leaf soft serve! Water flows from a golden Shachihoko. I kinda want to try the water. It looks fancy! Shachihoko water and Shachihoko-shaped taiyaki. Honestly, the taiyaki tastes normal (-_-;) But the water is super cold and tasty! You’ve gotta try it! Next Kinshachi zone features classic Nagoya foods. Like “Yabaton” famous for miso katsu. Also hitsumabushi and miso udon—Nagoya specialties. I want to try them all! Another Shachihoko water fountain here too. Highly recommend it! Alright, heading to the capsule hotel now. Arrived at Nagoya Station. Staying at Nine Hours Nagoya Station. It’s about a 6-minute walk from the station. Super convenient location. Made it! Stylish exterior. There’s a café on the first floor. Let’s head inside! It cost $36.54 (tax included). Got my key card at check-in. First, heading to the lockers on the 2nd floor. Found my locker. Pretty spacious! A carry-on suitcase would fit. Two hangers provided. There’s an amenity bag inside. A backpack fits easily too. Inside: disposable slippers. They’re quite large. Washroom and showers are also on the 2nd floor. Hand soap. Paper towels. Hair dryers included. Next, the showers. Clean and spacious. Shampoo. Conditioner. Body soap. There’s an overhead shower too. Water pressure is great. Heading to my room on the 9th floor. Room numbers are marked on the floor. Mine is Room 904. The capsule has a sleek, futuristic design. Lower the blind for privacy. Let’s check out the inside. Dial light control. USB port. Power outlet. Shelf for small items. Curved pillow. Firm with a dip in the center. Light blanket provided. Smoke detector. Evacuation map. Let’s check the amenity bag. Bath towel. Hand towel. Bath mat. Two-piece loungewear. Toothbrush. Guest info guide. Free Wi-Fi, of course. Now let’s check the other facilities. First, the restroom. Very clean. Seat sanitizer provided. Comes with a bidet. And a small sink. Everything’s compact and well-organized. Heading to the lounge on the 10th floor. It’s open and bright with floor-to-ceiling windows. You can eat or work here. Power outlets are available. There’s a balcony with views of Nagoya. A wheelchair-accessible restroom is also on the 10th floor. Reception and café are on the first floor. The café is open to non-guests too. Free earplugs are available. Time for dinner! There are so many Nagoya foods, but I went with miso katsu. I ate at “Kitchen Nagoya” in the B1 floor of Nagoya Station. It was early, so I got in without waiting. Miso pork cutlet set—$10.49 (tax included). Rich flavor and super tasty! Free refills on rice, cabbage, and miso soup. Such a good deal for $10.49. Finished my meal—so good! Back at the hotel now. Time to shower. All clean and refreshed! (^O^)/ I really like this space. (^^♪ The sun has fully set. Heading back to the lounge. Time for dessert! Fluffy dorayaki sandwich ($2.27 with tax) It’s filled with pudding and whipped cream. Hmm… kinda meh (-_-;) There’s a Lawson and 7-Eleven nearby—super convenient. Next up: tuna mayo-flavored Jagariko. Limited edition! Not bad pretty tasty. Tuna mayo fans will love it! The lounge at night feels cozy. City lights look amazing (*‘ω‘ *) Time to brush my teeth and wind down. Relaxing now. Ah, feeling refreshed (‘ω’)ノ Alright, time for bed. Good night (-_-)zzz Good morning! Woke up feeling great with the morning sun. Except… someone next door snored a lot (;一_一) Earplugs are a must! Time to check out. This hotel’s close to Nagoya Station—great for sightseeing! There’s also a women-only floor—safe for female travelers. Just return your key card and amenity bag to check out. I’d definitely stay here again. Next goal: Nagoya-style breakfast! Nagoya is famous for its morning sets. Nagoya Station feels like a maze! Made it Komeda Coffee! Komeda Coffee has over 1,000 locations! Inside, it’s retro and relaxing. I ordered the Ogura & margarine morning set ($3.78). Spreading sweet red bean paste on toast. So good! (*’ω’*) Ogura margarine is a Nagoya classic! This trip was a great taste of Nagoya cuisine. That’s it for this video! Feel free to like 👍🏻 and leave a comment! Thanks so much for watching!
