It’s been exactly 10 years since I first visited Japan. I am so grateful to have had the chance to visit Aomori back then and witness the Nebuta Matsuri right in front of my eyes. Today, I am happy. It feels so nostalgic to come back after all this time!

Aomori’s Nebuta Festival 2025 is being held from August 2nd – August 7th. If you have the chance to visit the city this week, GO! You will not regret it. It is one of the biggest summer festival in the Tohoku Region featuring daily parades of gigantic colorful lantern floats accompanied by large taiko drums, musicians, and dancers. #aomori #nebutamatsuri #nebuta #japantravel
