My family FINALLY came to visit me in Japan

[Music] Welcome. I’ve never actually taken the Shinkansen from or to Shinkcom Station. I’ve only ever gone from Osaka to Tokyo and vice versa. So, this will be interesting first time. I really do love this station area, though. Like it’s like the fact that it’s like nestled right here in the middle of these mountains. Okay, that’s a big ass. This what it’s like to the security camera. Officially got 90,000 yen out worth of human in. So that’s definitely planning to buy a ticket. I think they’re about uh 16,000 yen right now. So, it looks like I did not buy the normal ticket. I I always forget about two ends. You need two tickets, but whatever. I was able to get the uh normal ticket as well. And I got to throw both of these in here. And the train gets here in a few minutes, so I better go quickly. What’s the problem now? Okay, so he gave me these little stamps. When I get to to Shinyokama, I have to check with the staff again and just be like something was wrong. Interesting start to the journey. Also, today, the last couple days, it has been so beautiful out. Like, the weather has been perfectly sunny. I’m just excited to get to my seat, sit down, relax, plug myself in, and just start chilling, playing some games. You guys think I should do the um what’s it called? Travel through Japan for free challenge. Get on the Shan Sand without buying a ticket and hide in the bathroom for a few hours. I didn’t know, man. I didn’t know you couldn’t just like not buy things, bro. So, we made it to Shimana Station finally after 2 hours. It went by really fast since I was playing games the whole time. pretty much just become a time chamber like that and I kind of like it. Sounds like you’re way more comfortable than you would be on the plane. I realized I made a grave mistake. My mom and my sister wanted me to bring a air a haird dryer that I have. I completely forgot to bring it first. Where am I going? I am just going to JH. [Music] Well, I guess it worked. Heading for Chinatown or Mawachi, which I mean, for some reason, every time there’s a Chinatown, there’s Motobachi. Co literally is just what Yokohama is to Tokyo. It’s like the same thing. It does feel really strange to be back here though cuz like everything is it’s not necessarily bigger, but just Kobe feels so much more like homey if that makes sense. Like less spread out, you know? I never really had the chance to explore Yokohama very much. I kind of came here passing usually just passing through the station. Never really doing anything in the surrounding areas. This area is beautiful. Also, I’ve got the vibes going right now. I’m listening to some Japanese city pop. I wish I could play it for you guys without getting copyrighted, but okay. Yep, I’m on the right way. My sister got this place in the middle of pretty much the middle of Chinatown. And it, at least from the pictures, it seems like a pretty cute Airbnb, so I’m pretty excited to check it out. Warhammer. No way. Literally yesterday I started playing Space Marine 2 and there’s a Warhammer store just right here. I have never seen that in Japan. Well, we made it to Chinatown. Really does feel like a completely different world in a lot of different ways. I showed you sideby-side comparisons of these two Chinatown and here does not feel as lived as this. Only thing I’m worried about now is how are we going to get all their luggage to here? They’re going to make me do it all. Looking for a restaurant. Yeah. Okay. So, wrong alleyway this time, but I think it’s the next one over perhaps. [Music] [Music] You’re not so thatchech. Airbnb. [Music] Okay. Okay. That’s your standard Japanese hospitality right there. She’s probably coming back from work or something. She just had some time on her hand. She’s like, “You look lost. Do you need help?” So, I guess if you guys ever want to journey to Japan, you want to stay in the same place we did. Let’s come to Lucy’s house. Lucy’s come up with this. Ow. Ow. That kind of hurt. Okay, we officially made it. Okay, well, you’re going to tell there. Okay, we have made it. They have a tiny TV. Oh, this is so cute. I like this. Huh. Very small though. Very small. Okay. What’s the Is this a futon? Probably. I should probably take you guys with me. Okay, so I guess mom and Carly can won’t sleep in here. And now I’ll just have my own little room here. Well, this is really cute place, actually. I like this a lot. Good find, Carly. Good find. I got some stuff to get out, get ready, and uh I guess prepare the place a little bit. So, I’ll see you guys in a sec. I’m here waiting for Carly and mom to get through customs. But yeah, so I’m assuming they’re probably walking right now. They’re probably in line for customs. And it takes a little bit of time, but luckily there’s only one gate, so they can’t really get confused. It’s good because I already got their pass bot right here. They don’t even have to think about that. I’m just hoping that, you know, they’re not too sleep and food deprived. If so, it could be a bit of a a bit of a journey. Yeah. Okay. What is this? And Carly Rast. Yeah. I I just made him over there before uh you like an hour almost an hour ago. Like now or yours says 2,000 yen on it. Yours says 10,000 yen on it. So you basically have 20 bucks. You have 100 bucks. Okay. Yeah. You’re funding this operation. So Okay. You get you get a bit extra cash. I think I’m good with taxi. We’ll be on trains. We’ll have the experience. Okay. Well, now there go. I realized every everyone in the airport just they just speak English to you if you look like you speak English. It’s kind of funny. Pregnant lady coming through. Hi. I kind of got loose. I don’t know why. Okay. Oh, yeah. Thank you. I need to get this my balls. Thank you. Oh my. But it wasn’t all the weight. It’s so dense. Jesus. Jesus. Oh. Oh. Oh. Wait. Oh, we can’t have it. Well, it’s just We’ll have to clean it up if we can or something. I just realized we’ve had no audio in there, but like how you checked after. It’s just going to be a montage of us just a happy family moments of just like my birth and then you check it. We didn’t get still out for me. I thought maybe they’re rating without. [Music] It’s our first day. We’re on Machi Street by U Chinatown in Yokohama. They’re really enjoying kind of just relaxing. Carly’s taking pictures of stuff. Mammachi. It’s like really really oare. It’s like super oare. [Music] We keep wandering around the Machi area and this sweet old lady like all these people keep talking and like obviously since I can talk to them it’s okay. She was helping us trying to find like a place to eat food because now it’s like 2:00 and we had a late a late breakfast but so we’re going to have a late lunch probably. So now we’re looking for places here. I had to show this incredible food. So this is but this is the place we found. It’s really really nice. This is probably the one of the most expensive things I’ve had in Japan in a very long time. But and it has lash for this one. The mango lash moto. [Music] What’s it called? Mirrorless.
